Oak Park, Wichita
Sign-Up Starts at 1:00 p.m. near tee #1. Play will start after sign-up.

Cost is $10 for 2009 renewing members and $15 for new members and includes…
• Over 15 months of ACDGC membership. Lasts until 3/30/2011. Membership benefits include (but not limited to) eligibility for full ace fund benefits at club events and discounts on club merchandise.
• Free entry to the 2009 ACDGC championship tournament.
• Free hamburgers & hotdogs following tournament. Please bring a side dish.
• Additional discount for disc purchase. Choice of 1 disc for $4 off marked price.

Format will be 1 round of 18 holes played from the short tees.
$1 optional fee for ACDGC Ace Fund.
Lowest score in any division will be the 2009 ACDGC Champion. Trophies for prizes as available.
Come on out and join our club for an afternoon of fun and help support disc golf in Wichita!

The Membership Drive is this Sunday at Oak Park, 1pm.

We need help to make this happen. If anyone could make / donate something for trophies this year, that would be excellent. At least something nice for the club champion (lowest score, any division). Also, who can bring a grill for the after-round barbeque? The club will reimburse for cost of hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, soda/waters.

I need to hear some feedback soon if anyone can help. There has been a tournament scheduled over ours at Mulvane that is drawing many of our members away. If this Membership Drive doesn't have the support to happen, I need to let people know. The date has been posted at the courses for a long while.

My apologies for the lack of organization. I'll be there to run the event and sell some discounted discs regardless.

Looking like we will be having a barbeque after the round. Could everyone bring something to eat? The club will get some burgers, dogs, soda. People could bring side dishes.

Still don't have a clue on trophies. Anyone have any ideas? I could give someone a couple club discs if they want to dye something in the way of a disc trophy like last year.

Things are shaping up, thanks to these volunteers. Miranda is making up some trophies. Peter is bringing a grill.

We'll meet up around hole 1 tee around 12:45 to 1:00 and take sign ups. $15 ($10 if renewing from 2009) pays for your 2010 membership. $1 extra if you want to stay & play for the ace fund. It is currently $361. If you bring a side dish, let me know when you register. That way we'll know how if you are staying to eat and how much food to buy during the round.

We'll have a handful of divisions to choose from to play the 1 round, all short tees, 2009 ACDGC Championship. Here are your past champs:

I'll also have some discounts on discs. $4 off any one disc. There will also be a box of discs marked $3, $4, & $5 off as well. So you could get a cheap disc for $8 less.

We'll cook out after the round down by the Scout House. Do awards and hang out. Doubles likely to follow. See you there.

If you can, bring something to munch after the round. If you could bring a cooler, that might help. I'll bring one, but mine is on fairly small.

The event was a huge success! Big thanks to Miranda & Crispin for a big time sponsorship. Miranda made up a dozen trophies as well as some disc prizes. Lots of time and effort put in. Be sure to thank her if you haven't already. Crispin pimped a killer Run-for-the-Roses giving away several sweet discs, some nice hats, and more. Thanks to both of you for hooking this event up!

I really enjoyed the day today. Food, fun, & friends. I hope everyone else had a great time as well.

Ahhh, so Crispin and Adam found a dubs event they could win huh??? JK...... Had fun at the event. I'll take the win, but a little sour since I didnt knock off the champ to get it..... Boys really liked playing with Johnny, Buddy and I need to get them down to play with the kids in Winfield....
