Right on Cliff It ain't the Ams fault the open division is usually the smallest..Give the Ams the money they pay..They don't sign up to pay the pros
Even if I played open I would feel the same way..
Give me a farking break!!! Check this.......... the pdga created a damn pay table so this crap wouldnt happen. If you had half a clue as to what was going on you would know better, at least you do now huh Do us all a favor and come up with a legitimate argument FFS!!!!!!!!
It is always thought that AM $$ is used to boost the Pro $$$.
Most generally it is false, there are a few exceptions, most of them are A-tier events (KCWO).
I don't know of a single KDGA event that has ever done this. Ams are where clubs make there $$. Getting rid of plastic for a price higher then what was payed.

Thats good to know Smitty..I appreciate your professional input..That was a much more respectable response than Sandman..
You know, I have never understood the whole "sandbagging" thing. I mean; If you play tournies, you love to compete; You try to win, so you want to better yourself. If you truely want to get better, than damn it, JUST DO IT!!!!.
How do you do that, you ask?
MOVE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I starting playing in 2-thousand, competetivly in the Summer of '03. Actually played w/ McCabe and Laron, on the top card the second round @ ACTA in my first ever tourney. I joined the PDGA as an Open player because THATS WHAT I WANTED TO BE. I've never played in any other division. Am I saying it was the best decision? I don't know. I got my ass handed to me all year and donated alot of money. Now that I'm a little more wiser about this game, I wish I would've played Am Worlds.
Oh well, I'll just focus on winning PRO Worlds...
My point is this: If you truely want to get better, play with people better than you, not people you can typically beat. You will be AMAZED at the results.

And you are usually trying to make up lost strokes, since you cann't get to the tourney on time.

If the top pro and am in points from each region is already in the top third for their division, does the spot go to the second best pro or am in that region, or is the spot removed?
Also, the front page says the match play will be seeded according to points. How will this be done. Being double elimination, their may be some consideration to how tough the losers bracket plays for each player as well.
Points is not the best indication of skill. Coming up with a local rating would be better. Let's just say this was possible. Would you put people of equal skill up against each other in the first round, or would the best player get an easy first match? Maybe the winners bracket could have seeded matches and the losers bracket could have close to equal matches?
I would be in favor of points leaders getting byes the most often, cause without 2 or 4 or 8 or 16 competitors in a division, this is going to happen. This year will include every division, right? Not just pro and am?
