You mean win I played the best shot for the hole and got kicked in the arse.

Hole 1 short at Oak. The best shot is a turnover or finger flick, that is where the clearing is. I layed a finger flick out there, just about 5 feet to tight. No higher then 10 feet the entire way. Thunk stuck in a tree, hanging by a single small branch.

I can live with the that OB! What makes me mad, is the number of people who would just throw a hyzer into the trees and have it smash down to the ground. That is dumb!!!

If there was OB I found it this weekend.

First hole of tourney 15 long at Oak - over the road
#13 down low at Oak in the river 15 feet from basket (gay)
#14 long at Oak hit a tree and fly over the path
#16 long at Oak smashed a great drive, played a skipper off the road a little to hot and over the path. Took a run a the 4, hit the basket and rolled out 45 feet, took a run at the comebacker and missed, pissed off going for the next putt and face mask. Circle 7 gotta love that.
#1 short at Oak OB tree.

#13 Herman hill from short. Anhyzer that hit grass and bounced out.

I think that is all of my good fortunes.

This was all posted before the 3rd round as required by PDGA rules. And again before the 4th round when we decided to add some more cash to the Pro divisions. I figured you had already read it. 164% Pro pay back from Total Pro entry fees ($2,822 in total awards divided by $1,720 in entry fees before removal of PDGA & KDGA fees). 8)

Where was this posted at? If it was at Herman what about was people that were at Oak with no info?

Yeah Jump, I'm sure the Pro Masters, Pro Grandmaster and Pro Women would agree with you that they don't deserve to be included in the Pro payouts. Sounds like you take the cake for BS

That's a pretty cheap shot Sand ...... you all seem to forget that the folks who run these tournaments do so as volunteers and have to fit everything we do into the midst of other responsibilities both personal and professional. Bob was pretty timely in posting the total Pro Purse payouts and you all (including Mc Cabe) either did not read it or chose to ignore it. Nothing Bob has done deserves these kind of cheap shots implying that he and/or the rest of us involoved in this tournament were cheating anyone out of anything. I know Bob well enough to say that his integrity and honesty are above reproach. I also know that he, as he has the time, will be going over the books and double checking on the accounting program he used for payouts to see that everything is correct. He would be doing this even without all the BS that is being written here. And, you can bet that if there is any discrepency or error it will not be hidden.

I personally take offense at all this crap implying that Bob as the T.D., myself as events coordinator and the other volunteers of the ACDGC would do anything underhanded. It's no wonder it is so tough to find people willing to sacrifice the time and effort to run such an event when they see this kind of BS as the thanks for all their hard work.

not what i meant, im sayin tourneys get advertised with "added money for pro div." to bring in more out of town (let's be honest men's open) pro's. sorry j thats they way things are. and when $1000 added money is in the kitty and mens open only gets 105% i think that there is something goofy, and i dont want to hear bout players packs and all that, ITS DONATED SHIZNIT!!!

First off....I didn't see ANY Prize payout posted! And I'm not talken "smack" on Bob or any of the ACDGC Club members!! as a matter of fact..I'm really glad to see someone step up and run a b-tier event!! and yes I do know all about running a PDGA tournament!

You said Bob posted Prize results, are you talking about at Herman Hill? Cuz I was just asking if he could post them here!!! I didn't see them anywhere..

With the "added cash"...I DO belive that ALL Pro divisions should split the money!! Pro Men, Pro Masters, Pro Women, even Pro GrandMasters!!

Please get your story straight before "calling people out"!!!

dont get me wrong i think ALL should split too. for example

200 total pros:
50 open men---------25% of added
100 master men-----50 % of added
25 open women------12.5 of added
25 grandmasters-----12.5 of added

for me, thats the only way to make it fair

On May 17 Bob wrote:

"Following is a quick recap of the Pro Division Pay-Outs (Minimum $1,750 total):

Total entry fees $1,720 less PDGA & KDGA fees of $155 (we had 31 Pros) equals $1,565. We awarded $1,815 in cash and $1,007 in players packs, trophies, CTP's, etc. to the Pro divisions for a total pay back of $2,822. That's well above the $1,750 minimum.

I did these quick (so they may change a little) and put them in front of posting the scores to the PDGA site so you would all know you were treated fairly."

If it was a place by place payout you were talking about then no, Bob did not post them here yet. However, he did seek to answer some questions about the total pro pay out since that was coming under question. I was far more offended by Sandman's cheap shot that what you had to say Eric .... but I did feel like your second request in BOLD LETTERS was adding fuel to the fire and a bit of a calling out on your behalf. And yes, I know you are aware of the hassles of putting a tournament on and that is why I was a bit supprised by your post and decided to make not of it as well as Chads. I read all of the posts concerning pro payouts befoer writing my reply and these are the facts as I saw them. If you didn't mean to lay trash on Bob or the ACDGC then I take your word for that and I let it go at that. Chad is another story.

Let me put this in perspective for you.

Monday at noon I took a fall from about 16 ft at work and suffered a compression fracture to my first lumbar vertabrae. Aside from the fact that I was grateful to be alive and still have the use of my hands and legs, one of my first thoughts was that if it had to happen at least it happened after the Doo Dah. After I had the chance to work with Bob and the other members of the ACDGC putting on one of the biggest disc golf events in Wichita in many years. After I had the chance to work my ass off late into the early morning hours and most of my weekend hours over the past three weeks aiming to make this an enjoyable and exciting weekend for all who chose to participate. After I had the chance to help build the sport I enjoy so much (and I am certainly not in it for the cash or the winning) and promote its continued growth in Wichita and Kansas. After I had a chance to do all I could to help bring the Doo Dah Open back as a prominent and respected tournament event on the KDGA's OZ Tour and getting it back on solid ground with the PDGA. So, you'll have to forgive me if I fail to see the humour in some of the posts I was reading on this forum regarding our efforts.

I hope I will be able to continue to play this sport so dear to my heart ... but even if those days are over I will continue to work to put Wichita back on the disc golf map and worthy of hosting more national events.

Perhaps I take it all too seriously
