Current K-Ratings

Oz Tour Tournament Results (Sorted by score, not division)

Updated through PEABODY

To find your K-Rating, open document (by clicking "Current Player K-Ratings" above). Click anywhere in the document. Press "CTRL" and "F" at the same time. A search box will appear. Enter part of your name in the "Find" box. Click the "Find" button until your name is highlighted. Try shortened names or portions of your name.

For example, a search for "Mike Schoenhofer" will yield no results (because the actual listing is "Michael Schoenhofer") A search for "Schoenhofer" or even "Schoe" will take you directly to the correct listing.

It's too bad that you and Adkins cann't figure out a way to do your jobs together. His with the new automated points calculator and your K-rating. Seems like you are basically doing the same thing. Putting scores into a spread sheet.

Just a thought.

Thanks for the extra work, your pay will more then compensate you.

I think that may be a possibility down the road--once Piro has all the other fires put out.

I was going to say the same thing. Why don't I wait until this list is published before doing tour points? Sorted scores makes it a lot easier.

As for getting an automated spreadsheet for points calculation, this list of sorted scores could be taken and then the non-members removed. Then you need some kind of formula that gives an descending series 10,9,8,7... That is easy enough. If there isn't a series code that can do the average point values (current half point system 10,8.5,8.5,7), then maybe at least there is a code that would give all those tied the same upper value (10,9,9,7). I don't know the code, but I'm sure it's doable!

Those files are way cool. Very clean and easy to read. Looks like you have worked out all the bugs. Very well done, sir.

Tell me again what the cut-off is. The score value for which rounds would be thrown out due to being outside the 2.5 standard deviation? Looks like not enough rounds yet to start throwing any out, or else not many have thrown outside that 2.5 standard deviation yet.

Works for me.

Thanks. The end product is cleaner but I'm not sure you want to see how the sausage is made. I'm sure I'm working way harder than I need to. I always wind up with 4 or 5 Excel workbooks open plus the internet for scores and hunting current PDGA ratings. And then there's the ridiculous task of converting Excel to GoogleDocs. I think Piro is gonna steer clear of me for a little while longer :P

Yep, Cut-off is the low end of the scores that will be averaged. When I applied the standard deviation to last year's data, it didn't affect too many folks. You really gotta lay a turd for a score not to count.

Once we figure out how to do it automatically, we could post how many tour points each player receives at each event.

Updated through the Rock. Still undecided on how to handle GBO but no ratings posted until middle of the month anyway.

Player Ratings updated through Topeka but PDGA site has no ratings for GBO. What's the scoop?
Also PDGA player ratings are updated. The Tulpster is Tulpin' hard!

Gbo was in the latest update, maybe they haven't made them available again?

Updated through Thomas Park. Entered Ransom and Super Class as 1 round each because they are a bit different from most of the other tourneys. Mike, Super Class has the KDGA points roughly figured again.

Is a separate K-Rating calculated for PDGA events, or do you just carry the PDGA rating over and use that?

I was looking at results today for the Doo-Dah and noticed that after they were made official, they went up significantly (around 20-30 points) for the B pool players. Not so much for the A pool players.
