Winfield Food Drive Feb 25th

Post by smitty »

What format should we play?

In the past we have had a casual round followed by doubles. Entry was $20 getting you a FD disc, lunch, and raffle ticket. Then we flipped and played $5 doubles after lunch.

1) Pay a little more and run a 1 round tourney with several divisions and separate payouts.
2) Keep it casual and do the same thing.
3) Have both options open.

Format:
1 round of 18 holes. How you play them is up to you and your buddies. Doubles, singles, money round, Ript, Cali, it doesn't matter just play some disc golf on a kick butt course and have some fun.
***There will be several CTP prizes available. These must be won on a first shot (No Cali/Mulligan shots allowed)

Cost:
$20 you will get a KDGA Food Drive disc, raffle ticket for the basket, and lunch.
$5 extra if you want to be part of the CTP prizes.

Course:
Will be a temporary course playing in Island Park and Black Creek Nature trails. I designed it, tweaked it, and have a few more tweaks to add this year. This course has everything you could want in a disc golf course. Bombs, Pitch and Putt, Elevation, Water holes, 2 shot holes, and tunnels.

Still looking for CTP sponsors.

Dynamic Discs has stepped up in a HUGE way! They are going to be sending me a HUGE stack of Discraft plastic.

I will be selling them for $10 each and making a donation to the food drive with any and all profits made.

Headed out early next Saturday to do a little course set-up.

Anyone who wants to help with a little set-up, that would be sweet.

I will pick up Bowls, Spoons, Napkins, and some kind other goodies. Can I count on anyone for some additional grub?

I would be happy to head down early on Saturday and help you, plus I'll throw together a couple cases of variety pop and a couple cases of water on ice if that would help out Smitty!

P.S. Morefish could you possibly bring your big cooler to league on Wednesday, or at least bring it to the food drive on Saturday?

Jason if you could throw one or both in, that would be great. I think that we should have it covered, but it isn't much fun throwing at signs, trees, and other random objects.

I spoke with Shan tonight, we each are planning on bringing a large crockpot of chili, I have a 12 pack of Dew, Coke, Dr.Pepper, and Pepsi Max. Plus 1 case of water already bought.

Please chime in on what you might be able to bring for the pot lunch!
