Pratt Hot & Cold 5-14-2011 $25 All Divisions

Post by beisner »

Yo. Change of TD this year. Mr. Mark Newland, Corbin, Joey, Kristen & crew warmed up by running the Pratt Food Drive this year, and they are heading up the Pratt KDGA Oz Tour event this year. Here are the details. They are very well prepped and organized, and are set to pull off another great event at Pratt. We don't have added cash this year (may have some by Saturday, but for the most part we are focusing on the event itself this year). Come on over to Pratt, it is on!

mnewland wrote:Yes, this is going to be the classic Hot and Cold Tournament at May Dennis Park, Pratt, Kansas, May 14, 2011. We will have the "long course" in the morning and the "classic course" in the afternoon. Registration is at 9am, and first round starts at 10am. You can pre-register by emailing me at: mark@gloryworks.com.

We will break after the first round, about 12 noon, and start back up around 1pm. We have a group providing water, powerade, and sodas (small charge) and will have lunch at the park (last I heard it was bbq beef). There are plenty of restaurants along 1st Street (Hiway 54) on the east side of town if you want to go offsite.

See you there!!

Mark and Crew-

Thanks for running the event and getting the results up so quickly.

I had a great time, and actually witnessed all 3 of the aces. I still owe Shan and Twitch a $5, but am paid in full with Ben.

I want to add 3 suggestions.

1) Get the info out to people as soon as possible. I really think you could of had more players.
2) The CTP was kind of unclear. I figured there would be several of them on all the birdie holes. If I had known it was only on hole 17 for my division I never would have signed up for it. CTP needs to be on a reachable hole and 17 is really a trick shot off the tee.
3) After the first round, you should always group players based on scores.

Had a great day, enjoyed all 3 rounds I played.

Thanks again for all you efforts.

Smitty
