Nothin wrong with fast women! :)

Cathie had a mission that's for sure! She was not going to play behind us that second round! Once we finally got rid of our muligans, it went a lot faster! Anyway, thanks for being patient!

You could have gone ahead of us when we asked, "DUH"!! :D

Smitty.. and anyone else ..

The course in my opinion definitely played HARDER this year! I would say a few strokes per round for sure.

Here is a rundown of the changes hole by hole:

#1. Same

#2. Teebox moved to the left up against the huge row of trees.. you can no longer throw over them with a roller... you have to throw down the tunnell of trees into the open, then throw a long upshot to the basket. The basket was also move up on the hill towards the road. Harder hole than last year.

#3. WAY harder. Teepad was moved farther back, and way left into the trees... basket in same spot. Tough deuce this year as opposed to deuce or die last year.

#4. Same except basket moved back 40 ft.... overall about same difficulty

#5. Instead of basket being a dogleg off to the right, the basket was farther down the ditch, but no dogleg to right. It is right next to the ditch that runs down that hole, but way down there and heavily guarded.. probably 400 ft. It's a good 3. Overall about same difficulty

#6. Same except basket was move back about 50 ft to make it an insanely sharp anhyzer... very tough deuce.. I would say it was harder this year for sure.

#7. Same, but basket move back into the woods about 50 ft. No longer a gimme deuce.

#8. Same, but basket moved about 15 ft farther right around the corner... plays a bit harder, because it is a longer put if you are in the sand ditch.

#9. Basket moved to the left near the trees by Hole #1's basket. Overall the hole might have been a tad easier due to not having a sloping green where it used to be, but overall it was pretty similar.

#10. Same

#11. Same

#12. Same

#13. Old 13 is no longer a hole at all.. it has been skipped, and the new number 13 is basically old #14, only they moved the teepad back about 30-40 ft. Quite a bit tougher than old 14 with that extra distance.

#14. Exact same as old 15

#15. Exact same as old 16

#16. MUCH easier than old 17. The hole plays to old 17's basket, but you throw from about 50 ft behind that foot bridge in the clearing through the woods.. it's now a 250 ft fairly open tunnel shot. Went from good 3 to pretty easy deuce.

#17. Teepad near teepad for #11. You throw to a temp basket to the left and deep of the crapper sort of towards #10's teepad. It's not a gimme because of the obstacles (trees, crapper) in the way.

#18. TOUGH tunnel shot! Teepad is about 30 ft short of where old basket 18 used to be. You throw from there directly through those thick evergreen trees to old #9's basket. It's probably only 180 ft, but the cieling is 7-8 ft tops the whole way down.. it's a 3 pretty much.

Everything is either the same or a bit harder except old 17. That saves a stroke or 2 where it is now. Overall I would say the course plays 2-3 strokes harder a round.

I must say.... Don, Kevin, and Dyck played some great golf.... I haven't had a chance to play with Kevin much, but for sure that is the best golf I have ever seen The Dyck or Don play! I can think of at least 2 80+ footers Don canned... one had to be over 100 ft.

The Dyck faultered on a few holes down the stretch to let go of the lead, but other than that all 3 of those suckers played lights out. I think the calm atmosphere and the small number of open players took all the pressure off them, and they took advantage of it!

With about 9 holes to go, Dyck and I were tied, and Don was maybe a stroke out, with Kevin at least 3 strokes behind. I had pretty much written Kev off at that time.. bad move! He birdied 7 out of the last 9 holes including 6 in a row (one of which was #11 in which he was parked)! He hit at least 2 50 footers that stretch, and certainly didn't miss inside of 40. That dude can putt!... and can work a flash as good as I have ever seen.

Anyway, just thought I would give those guys some props...

Nice shootin! 8)

You thought Kevin was a chump, I am sure! He only carries about 6 discs. His main driver is a gayzale.

I would have told you he is a bad man. If he played more events as a master the dude would be a force!!

Looks like you did fine. No Prattsters beat you.

I look at it this way. They still have to make all the putts!

I will agree, it does help to have played that course several hundred times. It is that way with any course. We have a big advantage over people at SW.

Thanks Jon for the compliments! That was a very fun day! Had a blast! I kept thinking you would pull way ahead at some point, but for some reason you didn't (probably because Kevin was 2ing everything!). I think you felt sorry for all us "old men". Thanks for taking it easy on us!!!

Ummmm, we could see the ladies waiting on several holes, for us to finish, so we asked them if they would like to go ahead. Maranda (DUH), and the rest of them said no, that was ok. So they could have passed us up, and not had to wait so much.

DUH wrote:maybe you didn't have to wait longer, but the women had to wait on you pros on the last half of the course. We would have been done 30 minutes earlier if you guys weren't holding us up. I noticed the 2nd round when they didn't put us behind the pros, the women were the 2nd group to finish. I hope we don;t have to hear anymore whining about waiting on the women. You pros are allowed to take your time and you should allow the women the same courtesy. We do notice and try to hurry when we start getting the guys backed up, but remember we most girls can't drive as far as the men can. I'm not complaining, just making a point. Hell, theres times when I get tired of waiting on some women too.
If you told them they could play thru...then whats up with this??

I don't know.. we politely asked them if they wanted to play through, and they quickly declined. I felt sorry for them back there just sitting watching us finish out every hole... they would have saved 30 minutes by playing through!

I knew Kevin had some game, but man.. he played very sharp on Saturday! I think he has officially switched from the Gazelle to the Flash... good idea! He still carries a cloth bag filled with 6 discs tops!

From the looks of it, he is going to more tournies this year.. Harv and the rest of the masters... watch out!

Nope, and it was not a first run, but man that thing could fly! That's what he parked 11 with! That was a fun shot to watch. I think Jon was within 15 or so on that one too. Both great shot's IMO!

Yeah.. it was just a regular blue Z Flash.. he threw it on at least half the holes it seemed! I don't think I saw the GayZelle but only a few times.

I was also parked on #11.. not often you see 2 guys from one card parked on that hole!
