3 out for league today. Had to play singles again. You guys must not be ready for the ICE BOWL! Robin, Dave, & I had a good time on the course and none of us were frozen. No aces, so ace fund goes to $349.

League is on for tomorrow. I'll try to get it started close to "on time". We'll be done in plenty of time to get to your superbowl parties. See ya at Oak at 1pm.

2/1/09
Oak Park
11 players
Long Tees

Gusty winds & chilly

Robin & Mike: E-1=-1
Josh Hull & Kyle: E

Last summer (I think it was), I started giving any & all female participants a stroke subtracted from their score for doubles. This was/is to make the league more friendly to women. It's not much fun when the odds are stacked against them. Some still don't know about this rule.

I think the highlight of our round was watching Kyle bomb a 450+ foot low ceiling drive on 10 with his star wraith. He nearly 2'd it with his challenger.

HH Park
Red Tees
Odd Numbered Hole Pins on Long
Mike ran event

31 Players!
calm winds and perfect temp.

We played random flip w/ strokes for ams, which made for some crazy scores. We were going to play pro-am doubles, but we had some late comers and I didn't want to stick an am with Cali. Sorry about the late finish. 6 somes not wanting to split make it tough to get done before darkness. Several people left and I was missing scores for a few players.

Ben M. & Andy H: -9-3=-12
Brad & Kelly: -8-3=-11
Jeff & Grant: -8-3=-11
Crispin & Bowe: -10 (Current Record for odd long pins from any set of tees.)
Bo & Fred: -7-3=-10
Travis & Don: -7-3=-10
Scooba & Ezel: -7-3=-10?

Anyone know if #11 is playable? It should be. If Buddy (or anyone) brings a basket, we could do that substitute hole again.

Casey Fluty with the win tonight in doubles and an ACE! I think he was thinking about joining the ACDGC before league to. Still good for $50.

Said he hit #18 short with a Roc on an anny line. 8)

Definitely. I marked it under doubles.

Crispin's -7 in singles from the blue tees was also a record for even-long pins.
