Hole 16
-OB River and Street
-OB in roped off area around creek
-SW and over are SAFE on this hole

This tourney rocked for sure! ACDGC did a great job with everything. I happen to agree that the OB list should be organized by hole as Smitty suggests. It's easier to reference during play.

What hole did that happen on? Do we need another mando? More OB string? Was it marked on the map?

Just kidding.

Great job on the pics Andy! Where's the other group photo?

congrats to the mighty wiggs for a dramatic victory. can't wait till worlds is over and i'll have some more company @ the underling end of the open division.

thanks to rusco for sharing the love @ the fox and hound. next doo we should just make a reservation there for sunday eve and everyone can unload there coupons in one big stinkin doo dah hoop lah.

only one confusion with OB (oh mike, i made 3 rounds without OB) hole 12 @ herman. i understood what the sheet said but couldn't make sense of the paint on the sidewalk. maybe i needed an aerial view to get the picture. guy on my card landed on sidewalk just past the bridge. i didn't see the flags (this was final round) so we decided that the sidewalk was in the fairway and he was safe. don't worry, non of us cashed.

i thought OB was overall very clear though i did hear a non-local complain that sidewalks should always be in or always out. he favored always in because he felt that sidewalks out favored local players who were more familiar with the course. maybe there's a safety issue there that i don't know about.

anywho, only suggestion might be to give a blown up map of holes like 12 and 16 with clearly marked OB. that would eliminate the vague explanations given by quasi-locals on the tee pad. you know the kind, "yeah, so that one kinda more green tree. no the skinnier one with the kinda curl sorta looks like a tuba? yeah, the sidewalk's like 50ft past it on a line with the pin and it curls back to make a quarter arc back towards the water."

smitty, was it just coincidence that two players on the top card played from the 2nd mando on hole 5 final round? thought you had clarified that only one mando was in play for each tee pad on that hole. i couldn't come up with a reason for anyone to play from the second drop. unless discs just happened to land there?

ciao,

I thought it was pretty cool that Coda came back from what happened last year and proved it!

You got it. They both landed there. I missed the second mando and was in the street. Didn't know if the sidewalk or street were OB. Group told me to use the sidewalk.

Mike Coda should never lose at Herman Hill. Unless he is down by 10 strokes. All the tweener holes are easy for him.
7 long he drove past the pin and into the street in the air. 7 short is not out of range.
10 short easy spike hyzer. 10 long if he nails his drive it is a stand still putt.
11 long threw a spike hyzer with in 50.
13 long he can reach with a good drive. Will always have an easy up shot.
14 spike hyzer from both easy.
16 short easy hyzer
17 can hyzer to green from short and reach the green from long. He ticked the first tree during the round and ended up just outside the gap.

The dude has a serious cannon! Not taking any thing away from him, the course is just easier when you throw over 450 on a hyzer.

Thanks IQ that was fun to watch.

How did Leo take a 5 and tee off first on 17 when Coda got a 2. Is that some fancy Iqbal editing?

You got it.
.
Actually, both mando's were in play for both holes 6 & 7. Both holes have 2 mandos. Same trees, must stay left on both holes. On map. Same as last 3 years. Did some not play the 2nd mando?

Lots of stuff we didn't go over in the players meeting. I was preoccupied with figuring out the cards. Sometimes its hard to guess what players need to hear. Any other feedback on needed announcements?

I'd like to hear some feedback on the tourney stamped discs for the players pack?

Were the selections good? Was there some other choices that would have been more popular?

What about the weights? Were the light weights a good choice? Do players prefer heavier weights?

What about stamp color? Do blue & black stamps look better than other colors? Or rainbow stamp, any stamp, doesn't matter?
