Oh goodie, I will be in town for this one.

But really, if it weren't my home course for as long as it was, I would probably be playing rec. Intermediate for me please.

I'm gonna pack my car the night before and if I get off on time (8 AM), I'm gonna drive straight to Pratt from work. Its Memorial Day weekend and we're short handed so its iffy. If I have to go more than 30 minutes over, I won't be there in time. Can you put me down in Intermediate as a maybe?

Those skeeters are a hungry lot. I can only imagine if Mark hadn't treated them what they'd be like. Bug spray, bug spray, bug spray...I recommend 2000 % deet, or I would if they made it.

The course is sparkle-y, trimmed, mowed and almost completely trash free.

On a day of note, I work 11pm until 7am Saturday, so I will head straight to May Dennis after I am off and I will have to get the my afternoon round going quickly after lunch, due to the fact I have to work 4pm to 11pm that afternoon/night. Needless to say, I will be a zombie on Sunday.

The-Week-Of: UPDATES

The course was mowed yesterday. Grass is short and dry. The course is plush and green after plenty of rain early this spring. Tis in tip-top shape.

There are only a handful of players packs left. If you are going to be here, RSVP to claim your free Z/Champ Disc and Mini.

Anyone who wants to come down early is welcome to camp in my yard. Lots of shade & soft grass.

We had a few cases of gatorade and water donated to us, so there will be FREE DRINKS on the course. We still plan to do $0.50 crackers/candy/cookies. REMINDER: lunch will be open -- Beanz sponsored us and servers a good homemade sandwich and mean cup of joe.

THERE IS AN ARMY OF HIGHLY AMBITIOUS MOSQUITOS ON THE COURSE! The City has sprayed a couple of times but they persist. We will place a handful of Deep Woods Off cans throughout the course (you should plan to bring some too). I sure wouldn't recommend tanktops and flipflops for this weekend!! Long sleeves and lightweight pants wouldn't be a bad idea if you're a mosquito magnet like me.

We are going to try get a doubles match going for Sunday -- possibly at Great Bend. Or maybe at Pratt again.

Holes 11-17 play in the shaded woods.
Holes 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 All have a dry creek bed
Hole 1 has a mass of shady trees in the middle

You should be safe on 2, 3, 9, 10, and 18. :D

It isn't out of control, but it is out there I am sure.

OK we're at 34 players pre-registered as of 5/21/2009. All 34 of you will get your choice of the following for the player's pack:

Option 1: (1) Z/Champ Disc + (1) Mini
Option 2: (2) D/DX Discs + (1) Mini
Option 3: Pay $5 to upgrade to (1) Star/ESP Disc + (1) Mini

(These are factory stamped discs.)

Now then... we've decided to ADD 10 MORE PLAYERS PACKS, but you can only get one if you RSVP before 6pm on Friday by sending me a PM, or by calling 620-672-6332 (be sure to leave a voicemail with your Name & Division if I can't answer). And of course you must play (or at least pay in) in order to qualify for a player's pack.

So if you're on the fence ... there's a nudge!!

....

FYI Snacks available for purchase on the course will include:

$0.50 : Home made oatmeal cookies & peanut butter cookies (limited quantity)
$0.50 : Small bags of chips, pretzels, cheetos; packages of cheese crackers, peanut roll candy bars
$0.50 : Honey buns & other little debbie stuff

FYI Free Beverages will include:

Pop, Gatorade, Bottled Water (3 coolers @ 3 locations on the course).

Everything is ready to roll except flags & OB lines, which will happen tomorrow.

We're gonna have a fun day - hope you're here!
