New Course in Inman, KS
New Course in Inman, KS
There is a new course outside of Inman past the corner of Cherokee and 9th. Its adjacent to the ATV tracks. They need to set up the numbers to the holes, but other than that its pretty sweet. One hole is this huge lake you have to throw over with trees in the center. Lake is 300+ ft or so. Check it out guys!!!!

Re: New Course in Inman, KS
Only ten miles from here. I may have to head up there tomorrow or Monday and check it out.
Zach, is this the area just to the south of the ATV trails on 9th?

Re: New Course in Inman, KS
Went up there this morning. The place is called Country Park, about a mile northeast of town. Nine holes, grass tees with wood posts for tee markers. Seven DB-5's, a Discatcher Sport, and some Innova looking basket with an unnumbered number plate. All single chainers. Here's the layout.

None of the tees are numbered, but I gathered from the flow of the course, this is how they run. Distances are approximate.
#1 - Very short shot from the entrance of the park to the southeast corner. 140' or so.
#2 - Cool slight downhill grade shot through the woods. Unfortunately it was blocked by brush piles and the basket is in about 12" of water. 400'
#3 - Another cool woods shot. This time uphill. Very well defined fairway. 375'
#4 - Another par 2 shot with the pin hidden behind a tree. 160'
#5 - Wide open shot uphill back towards the east edge of the park. 400'
#6 - Another shorty downhill with the basket near a tuft of trees (and some picnic tables). 175'
#7 - Continues downhill. Basket is behind the backstop of a kiddle ball diamond. 250'
#8 - The pond shot that Zach mentioned (shown below). I like this hole as a hole, but in the context of this course it seems out of place. Pro and advanced players will just spike hyzer over the top as there's only some mild shule behind the pin. Most recs are not going to be able to cross this so they'll have to go around. 300'

#9 - I did not see a tee pole for this one, just the basket which was literally six feet from the water near the pond inlet. I drew that blue line where a logical fairway might go. 325?'
There is a woodsy area behind the water hole where more holes could be added (although its defined as a nature area). This could be a neat 12 holer with some adjustments.
