USDGC Spot
USDGC Spot
I am going to use a new method for picking the Kansas State Rep.
1) You must be a Kansas resident.
2) You must play a minimum of 8 Kansas PDGA sanctioned rounds.
3) KCWO and Worlds will not count.
4) I will average the top 8 rounds of each player who wants a shot at the spot.
I know it is a little late. Since we have already had 2 Kansas PDGA events. Both Wyco and Monkey Island will be included.
These are some of the people who I think would be interested. Let me know if you want on or off the list.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. IN.
I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.

Re: USDGC Spot
Eight rounds, that will likely be 3 tournaments for a lot of people. I don't think that's a bad thing. Why is KC Wide Open not on the list? It's just a B-tier?

Re: USDGC Spot
It will take place half in Missouri was my thinking.

Re: USDGC Spot
It's a good plan. Going with the best rounds is better than the average rounds.
When is it decided? After Frontier?

Re: USDGC Spot
Frontier will be included. That is pretty late and wouldn't give a person very long (less then a month) to get their plans figured out.
This is a trial year. With that in mind, I am not going to eliminate any Kansas PDGA events. They will all be included up to and including Hays.
It will be an average of the persons 8 best Kansas PDGA rounds.

Re: USDGC Spot
I noticed that the dwarfs on level 4 look way too similar to the elves on level 6. Could be confusing to some.

Re: USDGC Spot
Very good observation, and I agree. I'll change the perscription.
Re: USDGC Spot
I started a spread sheet this morning.
It is pretty much useless, since none of the rounds are official. Also nobody will have 8 rated rounds.
As soon as the LSDisc Boys post the results, I will plug in the unofficial numbers and report back.

Re: USDGC Spot
What about Missouri residents that live in Platte, Clay, Cass, or Jackson counties? Especially those that are already KDGA members (and I'm not talking about me...I already have a spot for being Worlds TD....couldn't qualify any other way) The reason I ask this is that my policy for the Missouri spot the last few years has to been to include club members of KCFDC that live in Kansas but still in the metro area, and St. Louis club members that live in metro east Illinois to qualify for the Missouri spot. If Smitty is only going to allow Kansas residents for the USDGC spot, I will likely only take Missouri residents for the Missouri spot, unless I can't find someone from Missouri that wants to go.
Also, Smitty, if you want to limit it to Kansas PDGA events, how about using the rounds from KCWO that are in Kansas? That's going to be both rounds on Saturday, May 30 (Shawnee Mission Park and the 'Dotte). You could do the same for Worlds, but in all honestly, you probably want to have your choice made by then.

Missouri, where the state rock is lead, the state animal is sterile, and we elected a dead guy to the U.S. Senate, because he was the best candidate.
Re: USDGC Spot
Chappy-
I am going to limit it to Kansas Residents. It is a tough call, since so many KCers bounce from one state to the other to play. Kind of sucks.
As far as the Wide Open and Worlds goes, I have no problem including rounds. One problem that I do see. All people may not play the same courses on the same day. There are some Masters (Randy Brown and Guthrie are good examples), and a some Advanced players (Hollywood and Rusco) that have a chance at qualifying.
Dick-
You are already on my spreadsheet.

Re: USDGC Spot
Yeah, Brenden and Ron usually play more Kansas tournaments than any other out of stater, but everyone knows they're okies!
