Those were my top 2 choices. Down Under has a doubles league on Sat. at 12:30. When it's cold and windy, that is a good place to play.

I won't be able to run league this weekend. Going out of town.

If someone wants to run it, it is scheduled for Singles Short Tees Saturday at Herman and Doubles Blue Tees for Oak on Sunday.

This Sunday is looking a lot like last Sunday: very cold & windy. Only 1 guy showed up for league last week.

If you want to run it, use a club sheet to record the info. If you don't have one, just remember to get $1.50 a man and write everyones full name & score down. Course config, date, etc. I don't know what to say about handicaps. I have them on file, but that doesn't help you any.

I need to collect all league money owed by the end of the year. Hopefully I'll be around to run league next weekend. It's supposed to be at Newton on Saturday.

Any league go down in Wichita this weekend? I got to play a little golf in Tejas.

So that we`re politically correct,I submit that we change the name of our handicap singles league,to mentally challenged singles league.
When you have to choose between your woman and discgolf, don`t be stupid-choose the discgolf.

That's 3 consecutive leagues with an attendance of 2.

Here was my weekend:

Saturday- 75 degrees.
Sunday- 20 degrees. (still played a couple of rounds)

I'm thinking league is off for Newton tomorrow unless someone wants to run it.

Wintry Mix / Windy / Dropping sub-freezing temps doesn't sound like conditions people want to play in. I don't want to drive up there to find nobody there to play. If I get desperately board, I may drive to HH in the morning.

12/28/08
Oak Park
Blue Tees

We had 8 out today for some nice conditions. Park definitely needs some grass seed or woodchips for those muddy areas.

Open (4)
Mike: 55
Jack: 54

Handicap (3)
Plamen: 68-14=54

Rec (1)
Mike J: 59

Mike didn't have money, so I told him he could play rec for free. Dude hits a beatiful ace on the first hole (hole 1, blue tee) through the lefty hyzer gap. He didn't know that he wasn't in the ace fund! We payed him 51's, but it was a real bummer telling him his ace didn't pay. Next time someone is short, let's loan them the $5!

Bo Carrasco also got cheated out of an ace. On hole 18 over the pond, he threw the most beautiful Roc shot I've ever seen on that hole. Very high and super straight, it droped right down into the chains. It hit so perfectly that I guess it bounced off the pole and spit straight back. Unbelievable. The shot was perfect.

I noticed people showed up to league 3 times before today and the weather was so crappy that not many showed. The day I showed, which was 2 Sunday's ago, it was me and one other guy and we did play league. The days since then, everyone played, but nobody gave me the league money. Just a casual round.

It is fine if whomever wants to run league if I'm not there. I just need the money and info afterwards. At any rate, a specific decision needs to be made if the ACDGC ace fund is in on the round. If so, $1.50 per man needs to be collected for the club. The other general format rules should be used, but as long as the club gets its dues, the rest is not critical, espescially if the weather is crappy.

I'm still trying to collect owed club money for 2008. I need this by the annual meeting 1/10/09.
