Re: Emporia Food Drive February 7th
Is this a disc that I left in Emporia? If so, the only discs I can think of would be a white Surge from the pond on hole 5 east or a white force from the pond at Peter Pan.nastyNate wrote:Smitty if you come up i have a disc u might want.
I am not going to make it. We are installing some sings here in Winfield.

It must be a beautiful bright red and says Discraft across the top. Don't get rid of it!nastyNate wrote:naw. this one is new. found it in my stash. you said if i came across one to let ya know.
Re: Emporia Food Drive February 7th
i'll save it for you.
what a great day today! much better weather conditions than the last food drive event i attended. I am sure Jeremy will post something more official, but we had 56 show up today. Leo shot the hot a.m. round at 48 with Rusco second at 49. food was great on the 19th hole! then in dubs Jake and Mark got off to a hot start birding our first 10 holes, then cooling off a bit and finished at 11 down. Matt Watt and i tied with Jeremy and Enrique? for second at 9. Corey aced hole 10 during dubs to take the ace fund of roughly $80

Today couldn't have been better. Disc golf, food, a good cause, and plenty of disc golfers.
All in all a nice little event to start my season and raise charity money.

A great shot is when you try it, a good shot is when you don't have the guts to pull it off.
Re: Emporia Food Drive February 7th
We had 56 players yesterday for the Emporia Food Drive event! What an awesome turnout for a one round tournament! We decided to carry the ace fund over in to doubles which was hit by Corey Davis who won $80.
For $25 you received a Discraft ESP disc, an awesome lunch prepared by the 19th hole, a raffle ticket, and a round of competitive golf with additional payout. I forgot the raffle tickets but we will get those filled out for every player so that everyone has a chance to win some awesome prizes at the end of the food drive season.
56 players: $560
Jeremy Rusco, Nate Martin & Jake Newell payout: $60
Jake Newell contribution: $130
Total Charitable Contribution: $750
Jake Newell contribution? What exactly is this? Well, after the tournament he came over and handed me $130 and said, “Give this to the soup kitchen. I have helped out there before and this couldn’t go for a better cause.”
