what a great day for a tournament! maceman and the mcpherson guys threw an awesome event. there was even a full bag pipe band playing in the morning to welcome players as they pulled into the parking lot. the music played while players stretched and got their gear ready for the battlefield. it looked like a scene from braveheart. if it was braveheart then Newell was william wallace... he charged in and murdered everything. -19 for the day with a -12 first round. I think he may of thought I was kidding when I told him it was inspirational to watch him play but it was seriously some epic s@#*t to witness him tear it up. I think I heard Randy Brown call him Eric McNewell. it was awesome to see all that go down. it was fun to play with Jake,T-RUDE, DRB, Andy Lynn and brandon nelson. Bo got an advanced W as well as the ace on hole 8... some stayed and played doubles till sunset with Peter "Parker" Mohr and myself taking the cash with an -11. good course, good times. DEFINATELY THROW D'S ON IT!
