jump_putter wrote:the only thing i would recommend for your future tournaments iqbal would be to offer open divisions the option to get a "player's pack" that basically eats up their entire prize fund. If a pro/open player wants to buy plastic from you with thier winnings I'm sure they will.... Makes it hard for a pro player to be out there trying to win some cash when 1st place only proffits them $15. Not really worth the effort. Not to say your discs werent sweet, but I got more plastic than I know what to do with and if I'm going to pay out $45 for a 1 day tourney, I'd like to have the chance to maybe make a lil money...
I'm not complaining, just giving my opinion..........Only wish i hadn't played like a clown all day, -3....whata turd. That course wasnt hard. -7 to -10 was possible each round, just couldnt make ANYTHING all day.

Quoted for truth. I can say I probably would have saved going out there for that reason. It kinda put a damper on this weekends tournies.
I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.

Here's the breakdown by division. The first column is the total entry fee minus $2 per person KDGA fee, the 2nd column is the payout for that division.

ADVANCED $256 $312
AM2 $351 $442
NOVICE $176 $232
AM WOMEN $66 $96
PRO WOMEN $27 $44
MASTERS $148 $171
OPEN $210 $240
TOTAL $1,234 $1,537

Also paid out:
19 Dyed discs for CTP and trophies - $456
Run for the Roses - $50

Total Entries $1,234
Total payout: $2,043

The dyed discs were priced at $24 which is a bargain compared to Marshall Street who sells theirs for $30. If I priced the discs for the Sticky Cup at $30, $390 would be added to the total payout. Priced at $20, subtract $260. Thanks again for coming, the next one will be even better.

Could you please explain to all of us that played your tournament why you can charge us 24 bucks for a disc when you sell them on Ebay for 21.99?

Usually auction pricing is the cheapest you can find, and isn't always in line with retail.
