What's that smell? Oh, sour grapes... smelled it before....

8)

Smells like Colwich when the wind is from the South is more like it
Or Hays..... especially on #12.... either way it's a bit unpleasant.

And I love Frontier Park, don't get me wrong, this is all about sour grapes.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sour_grapes

I hope all went well with the Sticky Cup. I was busy with a crew making WyCo all it can be. We put in 18 nice benches this weekend! :D
(It was quite the project, I'm still winding down.)

42 players showed up in a steady drizzle that lasted most of the day. I thank each and every one of you for making the first ever Sticky Cup a success. Lots of happy faces and lots of dyed discs flying all over the course, which by the way was Herman Hill backwards, my favorite way to play the course. Next up is the Icky Cup, sometime this summer. Details are being made. We will include the price breakdowns this time.

Way to go Crispin! Move up! Move up!

I will delete any posts that are negative towards Iqbal and the tourney from this point on.

I don't understand why the price was more then the flyer listed? I assume that Iqbal put the $5 back into the payout.

Iqbal, did you get any new KDGA memberships?

I don't remember if 2nd paid out in Novice. I do remember when the winners were announced I wasn't even mentioned and as it happened, I kicked but in the second round to catch up. I know everyone was in a hurry to get out of there and that's fine, but I felt a little slighted.

Ron, you should feel slighted. I didn't notice there was a tie. 2nd place received $10 in merch. You can get it from me next time, or PM me and I'll mail something out. Sorry.

1 signup for the KDGA.

Am2 was raised $5 so they would have a payout. I realized this Saturday and it didn't have enough time to make the change. I really didn't think it would ruffle any feathers, but it caused one golfer to go ballistic.

In the future, I think any competitor that threatens a TD ("I'll kick you f'in ass right now!") should be suspended from the KDGA. I've submitted a behavior complaint for the golfer in question, hopefully something will be done.

I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.

By playing advanced in the first year of tourney play, you could say Crispin has moved up 3 divisions in less than a year already. Only 1 left to go.

the only thing i would recommend for your future tournaments iqbal would be to offer open divisions the option to get a "player's pack" that basically eats up their entire prize fund. If a pro/open player wants to buy plastic from you with thier winnings I'm sure they will.... Makes it hard for a pro player to be out there trying to win some cash when 1st place only proffits them $15. Not really worth the effort. Not to say your discs werent sweet, but I got more plastic than I know what to do with and if I'm going to pay out $45 for a 1 day tourney, I'd like to have the chance to maybe make a lil money...
I'm not complaining, just giving my opinion..........Only wish i hadn't played like a clown all day, -3....whata turd. That course wasnt hard. -7 to -10 was possible each round, just couldnt make ANYTHING all day.
