Cherry Street Tourney

It is a ways off, but here is what I am thinking. Give me some feed back.

Round 1
1 Short to Short
2 Short to Alt
3 Short to Short (Mando between tree and pole)
4 Short to Short (That will be an island that you must land on or go to the drop zone.)
5 Short to Short
6 Long to Original
7 Normal to Normal
8 Normal to Middle
9 Short to long (All the grass right of Sidewalk is OB except for area that basket is in.)

Round 2
1 Long to Long
2 Short to Short
3 Short to Long
4 Short to #2 alt. (Area of grass that has playground equipment in it is OB)
5 Super short (between P.G. and B-ball court) to 5
6 Short to Normal
7 Close to Sidewalk to normal
8 Normal to Long
9 Long to Long with the same OB as before

Give me some feedback.

We are looking at July 14th.

Also, do we want to do something at the Grove before hand?

Well, to speed things up a little, you could have part of the players at the grove in the am and part at Cherry then switch in the afternoon???? It is double points, so why not two different courses?? I do like the suggestions for the Cherry Street Course.

Splitting up isn't a good idea it wouldn't speed up anything because your looking maybe 1 1/2 hours at cherry and 2 to 3 hours at the grove if you play the full course.

I think that maybe we will do a Grove event later in the season.

The biggest problem is we never know when the grove will be mowed.

We can handle 45 people at Cherry. If we have more then that show up, we add a few holes. You need 1 hole for every 5 people.

After hole 3 we could add a few in the softball feild, then come back to #4. We could always go over to the grade school if needed.

maybe we can do random flip doubleslike we did last year at the grove. If that is what you are talking about. Maybe we can even add the league ace money!LOL

There may be doubles after the event. It will be seperate from the tourney.

The "Mini" ACE fund may be avaliable. Remember you have to have played 3 events to win half of it.

I really think with the combined efforts of all the WVDGA golfers. This will be a killer event. Everyone will go home happy!

If you need me to I can say something at work about what days the grove needs to be mowed. Plus this summer crew is going to be watched a little better than what they were in the past. The city had a lot of complaints about the mowing jobs last summer so hopefully it will be mowed more often.

We will play what is listed as round 1 twice, followed by what is listed as round 2 twice.
