Centennial Park and a Poll

Post by jstites »

Does anyone know who is painting the teepads at the course and when they will be putting the distances on there?

I am a numbers guy, so I might as well throw on a poll on here.

My vote is for the rocket ship. I have played both Clinton and Riverside once and neither one touch centennial. Riverside is a West Nile breeding ground. Maybe it is better in the fall.

someone ought to get with Hanz and see what is going on with the paint, they need to scrub all that paint off the front of the tees and the big numbers and paint the distance and the number small on the back of the tee.

We shot centinial last night and I almost busted my A$$ on three tee pads, it is junk and makes a great course a pain to play...

as far as the poll goes clinton gets my vote until they fix the tees at centinial.

I agree with you. I know from experience hole 10 is the worst. The group i play with have been teeing off next to the pad since the front of it is a sheet of ice. We all got a big suprise the first time we played after fresh paint, a bunch of busted arses.

Not trying to step on anyones toes, but who is in charge of painting, changing pin placement, etc.? My buddies and I probably wouldn't mind doing some work on the holes (next-tee signs, painting distances, etc.) if I knew who to talk to.

go out there for league on tuesday nights at 5:30---6:00 you want to talk to Hans Coleman, he can either get you set up or get you in with the right people, good luck Lawrence needs someone to step it up. 8)

Man those things are dangerous. I played last week and took a hell of a spill.

I'm going to be in Lawrence this weekend and I was wondering how riverside was to play this time of year? I've already played centennial park, so I'm looking to try something new.

If you can get to Hays from Lawrence in 90 minutes I want to know when you plan to head out so I can get off the highway.

Normally I'm a lot closer to Hays than that. I live in salina now, but I'm going to Lawrence for the weekend and I'd like to check out a new course. I'd love to go to the Hays icebowl, but the family has prior obligations.

That makes a lot more sense.

I love the Hays Ice Bowl. Blow off Lawrence and go to Hays is my advice.

Look for some mush on top of the frozen tundra when the forecasted temps hit the mid 30s this weekend...

Riverview plays fast since there's 2 baskets for each of the 9 teepads (natural - raised chat).

Clinton Lake will require a DG guide and a State Park parking fee/sticker.

When were you aiming to play, MO? Let's play some DG...and I'll tell ya all about Quantrill and his Raiders...  (LOL!)

There's an Olathe league Sat @11AM, FWIW.

I'm not sure when we're going to try and fit a rd in. Pm me your number and I'll give you a shout to see if we can get together when we go.
