Nope, me and the wife are going to Wichita to see the doctor if they are open.

We had 6 people show up tonight. Not to bad for single digit tempeture and ice. Larry and I took first, Dal and Dave fought it out with Grant and Shan. It came down to the last hole and there were discs flying all over the place, so I don't know who ended up getting second.

So, how did it go? Did anyone freeze? What was the grove like? You guys have every other tree looking like a tornado victim? How was the disc flights? Did the air seem thin, with overstable, but fast flights with good skips? Was everyone too cold to give a hoot? How were the costumes?

I went to the courses today in Wichita. Lots of downed limbs, but not much neer the tees or baskets yet. That is fortunate considering what were dealing with. What would happen if we were to get, say, ten times this much ice?! I played with some crazy skips and actually threw into some trees on purpose. The funny thing was trying to putt. The chain link would crack and bend when I hit it and spit the disc right back to me. I had to throw it soft and low to get it to stick. I would walk up to retrieve it and the disc would still be spinning inside the basket.

The temp. was not that big of a deal. We all had on several layers of clothes. The only thing that got cold on me was my toes. The grove was the grove. As for disc flight, I don't think there was much of a diff. The hardest part was up shots. One time your disc would hit the ground a spin out, the next it would hit the ground and skip 50 feet.

The best part was watching your disc after it came to rest. It looked like the lights were flashing like crazy, then they would slow and stop. They would sometimes spin for 30 sec. after the throw. It was pretty cool.
