Oak Doubles Sunday

I have decided to start drawing cards. Keeping it simple. We will use Mulligans only if there are more AM's than Pro's. If there are more Pro's
than AM's we will bump a Pro down. Now all I'd asked in my last post was
if you guy's wanted to play another format. Keep it simple.

ok maybe i am not sure how you are playing the doubles .. i thought the player keep there own scores and the team takes a total of both score the tem with the lowest combined score wins. you guys must be playing best lie? like they do at herman hill on tuesdays??

"Total score" doubles? Heard of best score doubles, alternate shot doubles, worst shot doubles, switch doubles, and doubles skins.

What they are playing is the same as in ACDGC league play. Best shot doubles.

I know all about the rampant fears of complication.

We should try this though. Total score doubles . a pro with an AM they add there scores together to get one score. It could really change who takes home the cash . Cause a pro could be hitting it right on but if the AM is having an off day then there goes the money. It would make the pros more dependant of the AMs ability, instead of the other way around. Us ams are always hoping to get a pro who can carry us through when we aren't up to par that day . it would be really interesting to try this once huh???????

just an idea scooba we could do this with random draw pros draw an AM player for partner..

You'd know who was going to win and who's gonna get dead last before you got to the tee box of the first hole.

I like best score doubles because you can play singles at the same time. Throw in skins too if you like.

I like the idea of pro doubles & am doubles, 2 divisions & 2 pots of money. I rarely get to play with another pro, it would be a different game for sure, the competition would be tough...... for pros & ams every group would be closer in abilities that way. The pros could also raise the stakes to $10 if they wanted......

I do like your idea ROG, $10 entry would up the stakes a little,but how many Pros do we really have in wichita, I think if we can at least round up
5 teams then it would be worth it. The pot would be worth $100 payout to
3 places. 1st $50 2nd $30 3rd $20

what cha think?

Pros that come to mind: Iq,Jack,Ben,Scooba,Jizz,Rog,Longhummer,Unruh

Iknow I forgetting some so help me out.

Get a big group together and play $.50 skins. Secondary cash prize for low score.

I like picking cards and teaming up with an am, its fun to see who you get, its a learning experience, its not always about money but having fun. Enjoying company. Believe me, I donate alot myself.. So I pay 5 bucks to get out of the house and play golf with some of the best people around, have some fun and if I cash? Can you say Sonic? large cherry pepsi....

if you guys want to do pro doubles you could raise the entry to increase the stakes. I agree that getting paired with a less skilled partner can be a lot of fun....you can share your knowledge of the game and help them develop as a player.
