Short KDGA meeting
Short KDGA meeting
Lets have a short meeting on Saturday at the Emporia Inn. Anyone who has a concern or question or idea should try to be there.
Things that need to be addressed:
1) The schedule for next year.
2) What are we going to do for the "bonus" event next year.
I say we shoot for 8:00 and get done by 9:00??

Short KDGA meeting
I believe we need a little more notice before we have the meeting.
I would like to be there but, I already have Saturday night plans in Wichita.
Two days is just not enough notice to get the best turn-out possible.
I would suggest picking a date a few weeks from now so all interested parties would have a better chance of being there.

I'm up for discussing matters on the forum. We could think of some way of getting feedback from members in an organized way. The threads that discuss specific ideas for the KDGA could limit members to one post per thread. That way one person isn't getting over their fair share of time voicing their opinion. Problem is that as the thread moves on new ideas come up that bring new opinions from previous posters. Any other ideas?

KDGA meeting
Something to think about would be a "conference call meeting".
Most PDGA board meetings are done that way because it allows for each of the participants to stay in there home location. Only two meetings a year are face to face. The "conference call" also allows for anyone on the road with work, etc. to either use a local phone or their cell phone. Therefore, it is easier to get a quorum and to have the most input possible.
I could find out the particulars and the cost if this is of interest to people.
Otherwise, Hays might be good. Also, by then, we would know who the new PDGA state coordinator is.

I can't make it to Emporia $^&(@$#* but...
I say take nominations or volunteers for officiers & elect a BOD, then let them handle the stuff. There tend to be too many opinions & not enough folks handling the details. If you want to make a difference then you run for an office and do the work. The BOD could meet periodically and decide the direction of KDGA. My 2 cents!
