Pratt Disc Golf Club
MEETING MINUTES will be posted here...
=====================================
The PDGC meets on the 1st Sunday of every month, after league play (appx. 4pm), to go over all the important and pressing issues related to local disc golf; Meetings usually last a little over an hour. If the weather is nice, we meet at the park, if it's not nice, we migrate somewhere else.
This is where members can vote & voice their opinion on decisisions that impact Pratt-area disc golf (ie. the course, t-shirts, custom discs, tournaments, leagues, payouts, policies, rules, etc.).
So... if you're a Pratt Disc Golf Club Member - please try to make it to these meetings to shoot the bull & get involved. We'd love to see you there!

2006 Pratt BBQ
I slacked on posting info about our 1st annual BBQ but it was well attended regardless. Word of mouth did it for us on our first run...
Joe the Pro grilled up some mean pork ribs @ my place. We threw discs all around the yard and some of the neighbors'... some casual practice basket shots. No major injuries.
Corn on the cob was also grill au-natural (in the shuck) ... then there was fresh hot peach pie w/ vanilla ice cream.
And everyone brought sodas, water and side dishes. A gigantic feast, indeed.
No serious discussion regarding club matters occurred. Just fun & eats.
So then...
The annual club BBQ will take the place of the August or September date each year. 2006 was August. I'm sure weather will play a role in the selection. Next year, we'll be sure to post as soon as the date is picked.
Thank you to all who helped & graced us with your presence!

Parks Update
Well, it's official folks:
(a) A permanent 18-holer in Sixth Street Park is not going to happen.
(b) A temporary Lemon + Sixth course (with anchors) is happening.
(c) May Dennis park will finally have a total of 18 identical Mach-V's by the end of this week (not installed yet though). They will all be secured with anchors/collars and moved to the Lemon+Sixth course for the icebowls.
(d) Aside from alt pin placements, the layout for May Dennis will not be altered from the city's layout.
Instead of Sixth Street, we're going to explore some city land surrounding Green Sports Complex, and get a feel from the Parks, Rec, & Commission on the use of that land for a new 18-holer (not in the immediate future).
So, don't let this news take the wind out of our sails!! We have a kick-arse 18-hole temp course to get installed, not to mention 8 new Mach IV's to install in May Dennis. Altogether, we have 26 anchors to install (they're all ordered).

March 2007 Meeting Notes
City Commission meeting is today @ 5pm, City Hall, South Main Street. I'll make myself present to field any questions regarding the Ice Bowl @ Lemon Park. Others are welcome to join me of course!
We decided to play Haviland for league next Sunday.
I'll be going to the Colwich tourney this Sat, around 7am. Room for 3 more to carpool. Hollar if you want to go play. This one's close to home!
I'll be coordinating with the Parks Dept to get our anchors and new baskets installed in May Dennis.
We started brainstorming alt layouts for the 07 Pratt tourney.
There were no other issues or concerns expressed, we had a great game on a beautiful day.
