Disc Golf Clinic

Post by str8 »

I visited with Garet at the HRC today. We'd like to set up a clinic either Sat. Aug 20th or Sat. Aug 27th. It all depends on works best with yall. School starts on the 17th so weekdays wouldn't work well unless we did it in the evening. We want to do it for free, so participants can bring their own discs or we can bring some for them to use. We thought Rolling Hills would be the best spot for beginners. No hazards of losing discs and less traffic to contend with as far as other golfers. We have until Monday to decide, so if you have any ideas or suggestions post it here. I thought two hours working on fundamentals and then a mini tourney would be fun. What do you think?

27th is not good! KDGA event in Abeline. Go for the 20th.

If you did it at Frontier, you may get a few extra people involved.

Smitty,

How have you done clinics in the past? Any food for thought?

August 20th and 21st is "A Call to Arms"B Teir. Just more food for thought...

ps just talked yesterday from Chris Sprague and he will NOT be attending.

So therefore, we will crown a new champion this year.

Will it be Tanner, McCabe, Bunnell, Franks, Who Man, Smitty...You'll just have to come up and see for yourself

It's either the 27th or the 20th if anyone is interested. I know there are conflicts with both dates, but does one work better than the other? I need to let Garet know by tomorrow. These are the only two weekend dates before the tourney other than Labor Day weekend. Anyone in Hays interested in helping?

I guess no locals are interested in helping. That's too bad.

Don't call it off. Organize something, and tap into that resource for your tourney.

I ain't giving up, but the reality of organizing something successfully before the tourney is weak at best. There's just not enough time to promote it or a convienent weekend to do it.

Should we try this in the fall or spring?
