consider geting with your Parks Dept. to build temporary obstacles like landscape timbers sunk 8" apart or if you really get lucky maybe some dirtwork!Usually when they know they are unintentionally screwing you they will try some sort of remidial solution .It`s just up to you to point out what they can do (lo-budget).use the landscape timbers to protect the trees from injury until they can stand alone.
David St. Hubbins rocks dude!! Yeah, Stone Henge is one of my favorite tunes. I hear they're getting back together for a benefit concert in July.str8 wrote:David St. Hubbins drew the plans up last time! That SUCKS!!! That was one of the best holes on the course. It was very rare to go up the middle on that hole and get around that tree.str8 wrote:Hole #3, the biggest tree has been cut down. The tree in the center of the fairway which prevented the straight shot and forced the hyzer or anhyzer route is now gone.
It does suck, but it is cool in a new way now. It's like an Even longer version of 15. Less chance to bogey now.smitty wrote:That SUCKS!!! That was one of the best holes on the course. Also, I was thinking since that tree on Hole 8 by the pin was cut down, maybe we need to start playing over the dike OB
I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.

Hole 3 was a killer hole.
While huge decidous trees make for some of the best for disc golf, they can't be replaced very quickly.
I would like to see courses set up where clubs can work with the parks department to create a more permant good design that doesn't hinge on any particular tree.
What I mean is like to create a design with rows of trees or whatever. New trees could be planted in between the old ones. I know, easier said than done. It's just sad to see a holes that were so good become reduced to open shots. It's not easy to move tees and pins around to change design every time something like this happens, espescially since most parks are pretty cramped for space.
Plant more trees! And then plant some more!
