Here are some of the things that the ACDGC did in 2007. A few people made a lot of stuff happen! Thank you.
The ACDGC Year in Review- 2007
Tournaments- The club hosted approx. 100 events in 2007 to include league events.
· 1 PDGA ‘B’ tier tournament – KDGA also
· 1 PDGA ‘C’ tier tournament – KDGA also
· 1 Ice Bowl tournament
· 1 KDGA tournament at Colwich
· 1 KDGA tournament at Rose Hill
· 1 Membership Drive / Club Championships tournament
· 1 Ace Race tournament
· 1 KDGA Year End Awards Banquet
· 1 KDGA Finals tournament
Money and Time spent on Projects-
· $1000 was raised (part of which the ACDGC donated) to benefit the KS Food Bank
· Donated to the Morita Brown charity tournament in Ponca City
· Split the cost for baskets for Valley Center ($900) and designed the new course there
· Purchased 9 baskets for Derby ($1800) with the intention of purchasing 9 more
· Installed replacement tees, signs, and sleeves at Herman Hill
· Arranged for planting of trees on holes at Oak Park
· Continued progress at Colwich with multiple workdays
· Many park clean up efforts including a big job before the Doo Dah
· Course maintenance including getting the baskets fixed at Oak and keeping new locks installed at Herman Hill
· Organizational effort with league documents such as handicaps, league schedule, tee rotation, disc inventory, ace fund, member app., member list, contact info, and league running worksheets
· Effort with communication via club email, internet forum, and course bullitins
