Great Radio Station, lot's of memories. The first record I ever cut was in Wichita and we jammed out to KICT all the time. It was called Emerald Studios, and the engineer was a guy named Brett Mallbey. Good times. Saw Rush and Mr. Big play in '93 at the Colisieum. Paul Gilbert's a damn good guitar player, do you remember Racer X?

We used to play with Dead Orchestra and Hostility. I know the Book brothers (Hostility) went on to become Gulch after there mishaps with Century Media. Any of the Dead O guys still around? What about Ronnie True? I know he had one bullet hole when I knew him. Hell of a nice guy to me though. Was the club called Rock Island?

That's too bad about Ronnie. I must have just been moving back from Texas then. If I'm in the ICT we should go share a 40oz with him. He believed in my 19yr old punk ass and sorta took me under his wing back in the day.

My favorite song Dead O played was their version of "Mississippi Queen." My favorite Hostility song was "F*ck You We're From Kansas!" Damn we had some good times gigging together.

That Rock Island has been trouble since the beginning. Bob Shepard was my friends uncle. He said there were bodies sealed up in the basement concrete. A few years later the club owner tortures and kills some people in the basement. Next owner has the place a week before people are getting stabbed and shot.

It was cool back when they used to have everyone bring their choppers inside and burn out on the dance floor... That place was hardcore.

Friz-Rocker wrote:You instigating bastard, you`re the reason the cops told Harvey in 94," The music`s okay, but the fu$# you guy`s gotta stop." I wondered what the hell happened to Hoep that year!!! Before that we only sang songs about love and jesus. Soon after that Hoep`s attitude changed, he lost his job sprayin` fruit and his wife left him for a bald discgolfer!!!!!
That was a sad time in Wichita discgolf
