Fluty, can you make it to HH tomorrow? Think you could pick up grass seed on the way there? If so, I'll PM you the address.

Planning to work on a couple baskets Friday evening & do the dirt, grass seed, & woodchips on Saturday. We could do league after the work is done. Anyone has rakes or shovels bring those. Still need to figure out who can bring a truck to make this happen. Anyone?

I'll post back Thursday if I'm working Saturday. Unless you can get started without me, I'm not sure what time we can start. I can't get there until about 2pm if I'm working.

Ok, concrete work on a few pins. Meet at Herman Hill 4pm Friday, then finish at Oak.

On Saturday, we'll do a work day for the dirt, seed, & woodchips out at Oak. I gotta work, so I can't be there until 2pm. I'll post back if John (has a truck) can get there sooner. Bring rakes & shovels if you got em.

Me, John, & Taylor got 4 loose pins re-poured today. Both on 12 and the long on 3 at HH. 12's basket at HH is in the clubhouse and will be replaced tomorrow. 13's basket at Oak was swedged to the sleeve. We couldn't get it off. Please be careful with it tomorrow as it isn't fully set. Note, we leaned it into the hill on purpose. We'll pull it back to level most of the way once it sets.

John will be at Oak tomorrow (Saturday) at 1pm. If you can't go to the Winfield Food Drive, please come out. He's going to need some help. I'll be there just after 2pm. We need to get rid of the dirt pile and rake grass seed in. Then we need to get rid of most or all of the woodchip pile. If we get done in time, we'll play league. Bring rakes or shovels. If anyone else can bring a truck, I'm sure it could be used. Mostly, just need hands to help. See you there.

Big thanks to John Stoneburgh, Scott MIller, Jeff Vest, & Jeremiah Emrick for getting things going out at Oak. Got most of the dirt down around the course and seeded.

Didn't get the chips down, but need to soon before everything we did gets trampled / blown or washed away. Pretty much all the bare areas. Coming into 1's green, 2's green, 3's green, 6's green, 18's green. All the tees where dirt work was done: 1 long, 2 short, 3 short, 4 short, 5 long, 7 long, 9 (little on both), 10 short, 11 short, 13 short, 14 short, 15 short, 16 short, 17 short, 18 short. Most of the tees really don't need all that much. Not near as bad as last year or the year before. We want to get these down before it rains on that chip pile. On the practice basket, the rest of the dirt could go there before chipping that area last. That's a heavily eroded area, so both should work better than either on their own.

Please post if you can bring a truck out to Oak and what time. The chips should go down a lot faster than the dirt work did. Got good dry chips delivered on the road this time. John Stoneburgh has the clubs tools. Big scoop shovel, other shovel, leaf rake, garden rake. Anyone who can get a truck, but who needs tools PM me and I'll get you in contact with him.

Anyone not going to Newton tomorrow?

Heard Jack & Ryan worked on these a bit.

I don't have anybody running league on Saturday. I'll post back tomorrow if I am working or not. We may end up doing a workday Saturday again and running league there at Oak.

John Stoneburgh is headed out to Oak now to work on the chips. Help him out if you can. A lot easier with 2 or 3+ people!

Still don't know about club this Sat. I am working, we may cancel it or do it later at Oak, not sure yet.

John worked for several hours by himself yesterday and got most of this pile on the course. Thanks John!

He'll be out there again tomorrow to finish it up. Please give him a hand. He'll be out there around 12pm or 1pm.

John & Taylor: Great job on the course! The place looks great. After we get some wet weather, this will be really appreciated by all who play the course.

On the baskets. I still need a detailed list of all the baskets needing repaired and what repairs. If I lived close I could do this, but I've been so busy I'm lucky to get there once a week for league. I did a little looking today- 17 is missing the outer ring, the practice basket was welded with a chain in wrong and one not in at all, 16's ring needs welded together, 15 looked fine?, 2 needs some major work on the basket to the pole. What else?

Also, could once we get a list, I can type it up and get it to the city. But if we want this done right, we should have somebody there that can explain what needs done. Anyone not work during the day that could meet a welder out at the park?

I made a detailed list of all the baskets needing repairs. Quite a few needed. I listed where & what & prioritized them. Before I submit this to the city, is there anyone who would be willing to meet with a welder at the park with this list and show what needs to be done? I think some of these repairs are needed because last time repairs were made, nobody was willing to help the welder out with what was needed.

I was out playing disc with ryan from DG mania today and while we were on hole 14 a wichita parks truck drove up and stopped. they asked us which baskets needed fixing. I told them that I wasn't positive which one they were and tryed calling mike. got no answer but had ryan leave a message. I did thell the guys in the truck that I thought it was baskets 2 and 17 and wasn't positve which other there were. they left because they need a positive answer. also I thought some one was going to meet them out there? I offered to show them where it needs welding on 2 but they decided to just leave I guess. cause when we got done with 15 16 we noticed theye wern't at 17 0r 2. .

They have been given a detailed written list. Several emails and several calls. They never got back with the contact I gave them. I'll find out what is going on. Thanks for the heads up.
