Discs came in today. Looks like a buzz with a turned down lower lip. Guess it is like a wasp, which is more overstable than previous ace race discs. Haven't thrown it yet myself.

Are you going to be playing any doubles after the Ace Race?

Random flip around 2:15? I maybe able to swing that?

Yeah, we'll do some doubles afterwards. I've got to run and get some flags and won't be able to get to Mulvane until 12:15-12:30. We probably won't start until 1:15. Doubles could be around 3:00.

We lucked out on the weather. Looked like it was going to be a soaker, but it broke up right before reaching us. Just a few sprinkles.

We sold 25 of 30 packs. Holding packs for Jacob Clark an Jack Robinson. Short one mini, but otherwise still have 5 packs for sale. If anyone wants to get one, hit me up. We could sell the stuff individually as well. ESP is normally 15 (14 for members). Could sell the discs for 13 (12), hats for 11 (10) & mini's for 5 (4).

The disc was a good one and more overstable than past ace race discs. Felt like a beadless roc and threw about like a new star roc.
McCabe is on the mini!

Played 9x2 forward and 9x2 backward for 36 holes.

Buddy hit the only ace on hole 5 backwards.
Pee-Wee hit metal twice for 2nd place.
7 players hit metal once. Jeff, Lizard, Ben, Jason, Terry, Tom, & Lloyd. Jason won the CTP play off for 3rd place.

15 played doubles. Josh & partner? got first. Plamen & Bangrrr Bob tied for 2nd with Cali Tom. Bob split and said Plamen could have any winnings. Thanks Bob! You made Plamen's day.

With out the bead I swear this disc would be a wasp. even flys like one. I really prefered last years disc better but this years is still a very controlable flyer. . If any one has a Hot pink one that they just didn't care for and would like to sell thier used disc for 5 bucks let me know i'll take it off your hands.

Put the disc side by side with a shockwave and other than a tidge of plastic being removed at the bottom of the rim..........

I tried to kustomize the course for the ace race but some A-Hole went out and changed all the holes that Bangrrr and I showed up and hour early to set up. Thanks for wasting our time mike. next year you are uninvited to my ace race just because you screwed a bunch of crap up.

What made you do this mike? If you wanted to set up the course why didnt you run your own ace race instead of taking over mine. I didnt even ask you to change the tees, just replace the flags but you took it upon yourself to change everything. There were only 2 tees that were my original set up that were used for the actual ace race. I thought the one that was the worst was crossing the creek to 6s basket. What in the hell were you thinking. I know you showed up and just ran around like a cock with its head cut off changing crap around without even throwing a disc to see if it would work. Just because you run league all the time doesnt give you the power to change everything to what you like.

There needs to be some change in the way things are done around wichita, but they need everybodys input not just a couple of people that make the decisions for everybody.

Not a good idea to blow this up. You need to show some more tact if you want to run successful events. Here is what I know.

*You couldn't pay for the order, so the club had to step in and bail it out.

*You were not prepared to make promises for a course in Andover.

*I had to serve as relay messenger between you and Bob. If Bob hadn't been on good terms with Brian at Discraft, we wouldn't have got the discs even by the 24th.

*You didn't respond to this post. You didn't respond to my PM. You didn't respond to my phone message.

*When I got to the course there were several holes that had 2 sets of tees of the same color. It was immediately apparent that there was going to be confusion.

*On top of that, you decided to move tees halfway through the round. And you had a little bit of an outburst. I had to try to explain what was going on and keep the players on the right track.

You need to do a better job communicating. And a better job watching your temper. Next time talk to me in private.

All those things didnt give you any reason to take over and change things the way you did.

I have taken a few days to cool off about the whole situation.

I was not promising that there was going to be a course in andover the funds were going to pay for things to get started there.

I had contacted bob by email on 8/14 and never recieved anything back from him. I know he was busy going to worlds so I am to blame for not doing that earlier.

It was kinda hard to mark anything in another color when all I had was the one color. I did get to write some stuff on some of the flags though but that wouldnt have mattered since you pulled most of them up anyways. The plan was to play the longer tees then the shorter ones since most of the holes had 2 front and back sets each.

I tried calling you before I even left my house to go down to mulvane to set the course up its not my fault you didnt answer your phone. I left mine in my car so I would be bothered.

I moved tees halfway through the round because the one you setup was just assinine.

I tried to get this ace race going but you took it over for me without even thinking twice. For my first event you should have just step back and learn from my mistake instead of screwing things up.

my temper was not that bad it could have been much worse if I wouldnt have to worry about other things going on in my personal life.

I think that the ace race should be won with more than one ace than what happened but O well cant change the past we can just be better prepared next time.
