DERBY WORKDAY TOMORROW

Bill's going to be out at Derby tomorrow before league with a chainsaw. He wants to take out one tree on the 2nd hole. Anyone who can show up to help would be appreciated. Bring some gloves. Show up at 11:00am. We will still be playing league at 1:00pm.

Will it do any good to protest? Hole two is perfect, its a short finesse shot . You have two windows to shoot through if you take out any more trees you take out the difficulty of the hole. Leave it as it is, its a sweet hole already. If any thing go down to the bottom of three and open it up alittle down by the creek but please please leave two alone. Its one of the best holes out there.

I know that Bill knows what he is doing. This hole is long with a couple of twists, so I'm not sure your thinking of the same hole. The tree is blocking out the basket. Don't worry, I don't think there will be any lack of trees out there, espescially on those holes that will eventually go in when they can be cleared out enough.

yep the course is playable except a little tricky getting across the creek twice. The city will be putting in some concrete bridges on these two holes sometime in the next 6 months and installing a bulletin board in the near future. There will also be an article in the Derby Register in the next week or two pushing the sport.

Is that the tee time or the time you would like everybody to show up?

I would "like" to tee at 5:45 pm. I know with a farther drive and people not realizing until late that the league isn't at Herman Hill, there will be some people showing up late. I will get it started as soon as I'm reasonably sure that everyone who is coming is there. Derby plays fairly fast, so we shouldn't have a problem.

One thing though...

NO MORE SIXSOMES. Not everybody wants to finish in the dark.

Our Sixsome finished about 15-20 mins before you guys but our group got along and didnt argue or loose the dog.

If you are sorry, don't do it again.

People complain to me about the time we are finishing. It's legit because it is dark and people are leaving without their prize money.

I can't help it though, when people are told not to do sixsomes right before they tee and they do it anyway, or sign up late, or those "other" problems.

Mike i think we could have finished on time if we didn't have the problems we had in our group of six. i think that is what Josh was pointing out. But we do start out late every night but that is totaly up to you to inforce . if its time to start and then get us started and dont worry about whoes not there or who is just driving up. if they want on the card they will show up on time NEXT TIME. just my two cents.

While that sounds good, that's not how it will work out. I'll have to keep going back to my car and getting names written down and we'll keep reflipping until everyones really ticked. Like you said it wasn't the start time, but the play time.

I will try to get it going sooner. I was painting the mandos before league started on Thursday.
