This Saturday we will begin the rehab process at Oak Park. We plan ultimately to upgrade the park (how and to what degree depends on city's approval) but for now we can start by restoring the existing facilities.
As many of you know the tee pads at Oak park are in dire need of ground work around them.
Many of them need additional soil spread around them due to erosion from weather and the heavier use this scenic park course has seen in recent years.
The ACDGC has asked the Wichita Parks and Recreation Department to bring in two dump truck loads this Friday Sept 26th and they have agreed. It will be placed in various locations as close to the areas needed as possible (but out of the way of players) and we need volunteers Saturday the 27, beginning at 9:30 a.m. and through the day, to help put it in place. Bring gloves for sure and a shovel or wheel barrow if you have them. Any amount of your time will be helpful. May need help again Sunday the 28th if we don't get it all spread in one day.
