John Stoneburgh is trying to organize a disc golf experience for an event the Boy Scouts are having at Lake Afton on April 17th. John is looking for:
-People who can help. Needs at least 1 to 2 helpers. Lunch is provided, but he'll need to arrange for it beforehand.
-Baskets. I think he needs at least 2.
-Sponsors for the event.
-Any disc golf related banners.
-Donation of discs, mini's, or other stuff. Will be used for prizes for a putting contest.
I have some discs to donate.
The club has around 25 putters used at the BBTS. Also have some tee shirts and a couple of new discs we can kick in.
If anyone can donate something, you can bring it to me at league and I will get it to John. Thanks for the help. This will be great exposure for disc golf and a cool experience for the kids. Also, there may be a chance for a course out there at Lake Afton. No details yet, but lets see what kind of turf they have. From what I've seen, it's quite nice. If people can come and bring baskets, there might be a chance to set up some golf holes later in the day? I know John is planning on setting up a short course for the clinic.

Yep. Looks like we know who is going and who isn't, eh? Amazing a 270 person field could fill so fast. For those not going, please let John know as soon as you can if you can help with this. John will likely be at league on Thurday 3/24. You can ask him about volunteering to help with the clinic, or donate some discs for prizes.

Re: April 17th, Boy Scouts Clinic @ Lake Afton
Thanks very much. I sent you a PM with John's phone number.
If anyone else can help, John said there may be 400-1000 Boy Scouts there. That's a huge number of kids for just a couple volunteers. If anyone else can help, this will be great exposure for the sport. Perhaps if some more baskets can be added, a course could be set up for play after the clinic. It's really nice out there.

I talked to John Stoneburgh
Clinic at Lake Afton goes from 9-12 tomorrow, then an hour lunch, then from 1-4. If you can help out with anything, give him a ring.
His new number is 841-0852
