When should we do it? I kind of like Jan 15th, if we wanted to do it early. I won't be here the weekend after that.
I like the course we have going on down at the Island Park.
Just figured we should start chatting about it.

Probably shoot for a late date like last year. We have the Wood Bowl in January.
Feb 26 would be the same weekend.
The course was pretty good, and will be nearly the same. May have a few slight tweaks. The removal of the house might open a few things up. We had 7 holes in that teed off in the park last year. That could become fewer. We had 1 super short hole in the park then the shot over the creek. I have a couple months to figure it out.

We have moved to March the 5th for our event. I am sending an email now to make sure that we are OK to use Island Park on that date. I don't think that we will have a problem.
Course Plans:
Use 17 of 18 holes from last year, two holes will be combined into 1.
Add 3 new holes where the old house was.
Our course will be expanded to 20 holes if we can come up with that many baskets.
Basket count:
Smitty- 3
Shan- 2
Chris Tyler- 3
Burley- 1
Rich- 2
Ben Karr- 1
Mike Speer -1
That puts us about 9 short. I am sure we can wrangle up 9 more pretty easily. Another option would be simply dig a few holes and move some baskets from one of the courses out there.
Most of these would be in the nature trails. We would need to move them off the main path, but I don't see it being a problem.

Out of town this weekend. Headed to TX to play some DG.
I already have a preliminary plan. Pretty much the same course as last year. Minus 1 hole back in the woods and make two others a little longer/tougher.
The hole that teed from the top of the dike into the trails, I want to make a little longer. The next hole after will be gone. It was about 120 feet long last year.
The place I want to add 3 holes is were the old house use to be. I am thinking tee towards the pool over the old house foundation and into the trees.
Then find some kind of a hole???
Then play down the dike to the edge of the hill. Should play as a right handed anhyzer.
If you want to go stomp around and check it out, go for it.

Try not to get to carried away on difficulty and distance since there will be some players with no skill or distance but want to help out with the food drive. Example the hole off of the dike that will be longer. Not saying it should be pitch and putt but a good mixture, I know you are all over it.

I'll make some Chili again.
I think at our Cherry St. event, we should contact that BBQ place in Newkirk about catering a lunch. I think lunch included with that event would make it even more fun.
