Food Drive Event

Post by smitty »

Here is what I am thinking:

Nature trails
- We need to get the OK to be in there. I am going to get Bullfrog to work on that.

Cost
- $20 and ??? cans of food. Each player will get a food drive disc and a raffle ticket. The first 20 players will get a special players pack.
- No Ace fund. That should get paid out using the 51 method.

Payout
- Will only be CTP's the club will buy several Food Drive discs. We will give the raffle ticket that goes with the disc to the club. Maybe we can win another basket for the valley.

Lunch
- Someone who is a chili cook can cook up some chili. The club will pay for the chili, and the rest of us can bring some other goodies.
- I don't know where we eat? Chris Tyler has that army tent. That may work good if we had help setting it up and tearing it down.

I would like to do some mulligans, but don't really know how to tie them in when we aren't playing for anything?

Format
I like singles with your buddies. This should be a fun thing, not a competition. The worst thing is to pay an entry fee, then be forced to buy mulligans just to have a chance to get something for your bang.

Since we are going to have a course set up, we could do Random flip double after it was over.

Thoughts?

I like the idea. Maybe 3 cans of food with the entry? I nominate Zollman to make the chili! He redeemed himself and then some at Rich Ranch!! We could play for our bag tags??? Maybe mullies could only be used on the CTP holes??

Maybe so, I will play Cliff for his bag tag. Wait, he doesn't have one.

Bullfrog is going to try and get us permission for the trails. He said he would let me know.

Bullfrog got us the OK!

I will sneak out there next week when I get back from Western Kansas and layout a course. It will have many of our old favorites. Including under the Timber Creek sign, and that long mother tunnel shot. I plan on expanding out over, around, and on the dike.

Give me a call. I don't have to go back to work until you do.

I like how Topeka made the raffle purchases for the Mulligans. $5 for a ticket and getting 5 mulligans is a much better deal for the food bank(s) than 5 cans of food @ .$75 = $3.75

Probably so.

I don't know if we are going to have any extra payout? We need to have a meeting next week and figure out all of our plans.
