Tourneys in Winfield

My vote is for three rounds of 18. As long as we are not doing trick or treat that night, I am in.
There will be time for R & R after the second round and during supper/awards.
Also, there isn't a tournament the next day and anyone wanting to spend the night can shack up at Smitty's place. I am sure that Stacy wouldn't mind having an extra three or four dozen people over.

Welp. HUGE wrench in the works for me on this one.

I'm supposed to be running the event (It was my idea to run it)....but the K-State/OSU football game is on this date which I forgot I've been making plans to attend as well.

I don't really want to dump it on someone else. I say move it to the 24th, or scrap the event all together. Plus then there isn't the conflict with Randy's thing.

If you guys really want to do 3 rounds of 18. Someone else can head up the double part.

Divisions and Prices

I don't think we need ALL the divisions here, but probably more than just a few.

What about:
Open (Cash)
Old Pros (cash)
High AM (Plastic)
Low AM (Plastic)
Junior (Plastic)

Make the cut off for Old Pros be 45+
High AM and Low AM basically split INT down the middle, sending half to Adv, half to Rec

As far as prices, what about doing something cheap and simple, like $35 for all divisions, but $25 for Junior?

Otherwise, I would suggest:
$40 Open
$40 Old Pros
$35 High Am
$30 Low AM
~$20-$25 Junior

Players pack we could do either a disc or a shirt, with the new WVDGA logo.

Has there been a decision on the layout and how many rounds we will be playing? If we play the normal course then are we going to have a different tee pad on the long holes for the Jr group? When and who plans on going to the grove and start working on getting the course prepared? Ok enough with the questions, NOW ANSWER THEM.

I did not have time to answer it earlier. We plan on playing 2 rounds of 18. We will be playing the normal course for the most part. There will be about 3 holes that will be tweaked. I would like to have the first round be mixed cards which may make alternate tee pads for the kids tough, but I will look at it and try to work something out. I will be out there on Thursday and early Friday putting up flags and making sure there is not light trimming to be done. CT said he has the rubber mat that came off hole 1 @ Cherry that I can put on hole 12 if it is alittle muddy. I know that I plan to Use Jakes Basket for hole 6, I need to get baskets from Harv for hole 7, 11, and 13. I will be raking the tee pads getting the walnuts off them early on Saturday Morning. Any more questions post on here or give me a call. Does anyone have Harvs number?
