May head to Cherry today and pull out the tee signs for 3, 4, 9 if anyone want to come and help. Probably do it this afternoon.

Went out to Cherry today.

Moved tees 4 and 9. Both are a little longer and more tricky then were the stakes were. People will now be happy with a 2 instead of angry if you don't 2. :D

I also dug up tee #3. I looked at several options and wanted to get a little more feedback before I dug the hole. This is going to be the most drastic of the changes we make.

Ben said that he has a bunch of landscape timbers under his porch. I think it would be pretty cool if we cut those babies in half and put them out to mark some alternate tees. We could paint 1 set Red and make them short for the JR/Rec divisions and paint the other set Blue for the Pro tees. Combine that with 2 pin placements/hole and you are looking at some serious options.

What about hole 1? It might be worth looking at moving it to a longer locations. That would leave the original as the Red hole.

Give me some feedback.

There will be tons of work to do on Friday. Mostly digging and preparing forms.
I will be out there after 3:00.

I will probably head out to Cherry around 8 or 9 on Friday morning. Closer to 8 if I go to bed at a decent time.

Last night, we thought we should probably go with something more like a 4'x10'. This is okay, but this comes out to $416.30 in concrete, due to a surcharge for the total of concrete needed being under 5 cubic yards. It came out to be 4.44 yards.

If we went up to a 4'x12' pad, it would bring us to a total of 5.33 yards required, and only cost $23 more, in concrete alone. I'd rather the teepads be too big, than too small.

That was my reasoning for the 4x12 pad over the 10'.

Now that we're doing 10' I guess we'll save $23.

Burley mentioned something about the proximity of 3's new pad to 2's alternate basket. They are close in proximity, but so are hole 2's tee pad and 1's alternate basket. Seems to be the same thing here. Plus, I only see a few people play to the alt pins very often anyway. The Hole is much better now than it was.

I guess somebody didn't like where Hole 4 was, I hear it's been torn out of the ground already :(

All tee pad 9 forms are assembled. Burley is going to come over tomorrow and help me square them up.

I didn't order concrete. Somebody should do that tomorrow.

Daniels is closed on Saturdays.

So the plan is to try and get everything ready, and do the work on Friday.

I cannot be out there until about 3:30 at the earliest.

The parks department gets off work at 4:00 I am pretty sure, since they are running the tractor we will need to start as soon as possible on Friday.

Chris Tyler and I dug 4 of the holes for the tees today. I know I will not be out there at all tomorrow. If you have a shovel and are looking for something to do, have at it.

I am free most of tomorrow so I will get out there and see what you guys have already done and dig a few myself. I am sure somebody will already be out there working.
