The same layout, all the tee pads and pin-holes are still there. Just have to put some baskets in and do a lot of mowing and tree trimming, and I guess tick spraying?

One hole might change due to the tower and some excavating they did near one of the pins. (Hole 6)

I don't think there will be much of a change. It wouldn't cost much to plant an anchor near the same spot.

Some of the limbs on the ground could be dragged into a pile as soon as this weekend. Josh is pretty sure we are going to get in there.

I wonder what the cost of renting a big mower would be? If it only takes 6-8 hours, that is only 1 day. 3 or 4 people do a couple hour shift and bang we are done.

We are good to go on getting this course back up and running. I have emailed Jeff Gile (director of plant operations) to see about getting a key to unlock the chain blocking the parking lot. Once I get that we start cleaning things up.

From what I can tell here is what needs to be done.

1) We will need to trim up trees and clear lose branches (If we have a good amount of people and chainsaws + a couple of trucks, this should go pretty quick)

2) Mow, find all of the sleeve, put in baskets. (Chis Tyler said that he has a 5-6ft mower and Harv said there is possibility of getting a mower from Cumbernauld) Harv has 7 baskets, but will not have them back until after the 4-20 event. We also have 7 alts at cherry street. I'd prefer not to take all of the alts out at Cherry. Maybe we can just take 2 buckets...hole 2 and hole 8 short alts. Just my opinion.

3) The tee pads are all in tack, but they need to be sprayed with some type of weed killer...they're pretty overgrown.

4) There are a few trash cans still on the coures, but I'm thinking we'll need a couple of more. Anyone know where we can get some 50gal drums for cheap/free?

I guess my question is: when would you all like to get started? Let's get this thing back in the ground!! :D

I am volunteering to spray anything that needs to be sprayed, I have already talk to my father that has the sprayer and he said he would help out on the project which I have already mention to smitty. Just let me know when and if we can come up with some weed killer to spray on the tee pads and whatever else needs to be sprayed.

Josh and I got an Impromptu start today. I just randomly called him at 2 to see if he wanted to get started. We took 2 trailer loads of branches out of there, Hole 1's fairway is pretty much clear of fallen limbs, and got a fresh trim.

It looks like it is going to rain Thursday and Friday and possibly Saturday. We might have to wait until next week to spray. It is possible that I could roll out there with you sometime on Sunday or any day next week. Let me know when you are availble. We appreciate the help.

Smiddy sent me a text letting me know that the work was beginning last night, I however had just started baseball Practice. I will be gone this weekend for the GBO, but can try to do a good amount next week and weekend. I am in favor of Bangerrs suggestion of skipping league next week and turning it into a southwestern workday....Just my tiny, tiny opinion.

What are you guys spraying?

I don't think that spraying is a big need right now.

What needs to be done is trim all the trees, find all the sleeves, haul of branches.

We don't need to spray and worry about tees until we are ready to mow and play.

Like spraying 18 tee pads would waste all our precious time that we have...Especially if it's just one guy?

Plus, it's something that anybody could do at anytime even if they don't have a truck, or trailer. A few of them don't even need anything done.

They are talking about using a pull behind sprayer. We are not to that point. I have a hand sprayer that could be used anytime.
