Well all the sleeves are poured except holes 2 and 3. Joel and I are going and doing that tomorrow morning before it gets hot. I want to say a big THANK YOU to Terry and Smitty for all the hard work that you guys did. Joel and Shan are worth mentioning too.

And everybody else that helped you deserve some credit too, we couldn't have gotten it all done without you! The only problem was some goofy guy driving his purple truck everywhere as if he owned the park.

Don't worry Chris, they will ALL have time to make sure the baskets catch on Sunday.

I don't care if I stomp on someones toes. If you knew we were working, and you were at the Grove or someplace else playing. YOU ARE A BITCH & THANKS FOR THE HELP! I am not probably going to get to play 1 time over the entire weekend. I was able to get in 9 holes tonite after we got done. Have fun playing this weekend. If this offends you, then I guess you are one of the BITCHES.

Burley is a total stud! He probably spent atleast 10 hours out there the last 2 days.

Chris Tyler is PIMP! He probably spent atlest 20 hours out there the last 2 days working or gathering things so we could work.

I wasn't able to get off work til 5 today. Didn't make it home til around 5:30 or so. I really wish I could've been out there to help. I'm gonna try and get out tomorrow morning with Chris and Joel.

Thanks a TON Chris, Burley, Smitty, Joel, Shan and anyone else. I really think this whole project is going to make the park look very, very good.

the reality is that everyone has different things going in their lives.

if this work had been scheduled on a weekend and that fact communicated to everyone with ample notice, probably more help would have been available.

as it is, i think everyone really appreciates what has been done to improve the course at cherry st. just as everyone appreciates those who do the work to set up temp courses, run handicap leagues, order club discs, etc.

maybe chris, terry, smitty, and whoever else helped on this project should be given a few discs from the club, or free entries to a couple of minis or something like that as a show of appreciation from the club.

in any case, for my part, i really do thank those that made it happen. sorry my schedule didn't allow me to come help. but there will always be a next time. i'm just happy to be part of the club. it's a good and active club full of members willing to keep it that way.

chris, terry, smitty, shan, joel (and anyone i left out) thanks a bunch.
i owe you one.

Don't get us wrong, we know that the schedule didn't allow many clubbers to help. Thats not a big deal.

We would have been done today, but the last two sleeves went in my truck to wichita, we will pour them this evening around four, and then put a tarp and some bricks over them so they don't get soaked tomorrow.

I don't mind doing the work, I also don't want a disc or entry fee. Work and family are always a good excuse. I was just a little pissed that I gave up my only 2 days to play this weekend, because I will have a house full of family the rest of the weekend. Then I find out that people "club members", out playing and having fun.

Whatever, the work is almost all done. The course is going to be playable this week.

Now I don't have any thing to Bitch about, until we try to do another "club" thing and nobody shows up.

I really do not see the reason for complaining. You guys know that there is only a select few that help do the work every time. Get used to it and don't expect anything more and you will not be disappointed
My people skills are just fine, it's my tolerance for idiots that need work.

Cherry Street Alt. courses.

Most people don't know about the "alt" courses at Cherry.

-Rock Course- Much longer then normal Cherry. Gives you a chance to drop some bombs and forces you to make better upshots. The tees are marked with round stones the size of a plate.

Hole 1- Same line 100 feet longer. Stone is next to the parking lot in the NW corner of the park.

Hole 2- Same line 100 feet longer. Stone is about 30 feet past the light pole in the ditch.

Hole 3- South of hole 2 basket over the tracks and next to the telephone pole.

Hole 4- Between 3 Red and 3 Silver just past the picnic table.

Hole 5- Same line 100 feet longer.

Hole 6 - Same line, longer and closer to 8 Super long basket/5 long basket.

Hole 7 - Close to the sidewalk about 40 feet west of 6 basket.

Hole 8 - The only hole that is shorter, walk toward 9 alt basket.

Hole 9- Same line, tees of close to the bathroom.

Red Course- Marked with red smiles painted on the cement. This is the only course that plays off cement every hole. It also uses a combo of silver and red baskets.

Hole 1- From the SW corner of B-ball court to 9 alt.

Hole 2- Sidewalk next to the light to 7 (hole 2 of Ricks)

Hole 3- Picnic table to hole 6 (hole 3 of Ricks)

Hole 4- Walk to the Big tree on hole 6 fairway. Tee from the sidewalk playing to 8 super long pin.

Hole 5- Tee from the corner of the bathroom playing to 5 Red.

Hole 6- Tee from the NE corner of B-ball court and play to 4. If kids are on the playground, walk East from the basket and tee from the sidewalk.

Hole 7- Walk back towards 5 basket. Tees from the "T" in the sidewalk to 3 long in the corner.

Hole 8- Picnic table to 2/4 alt.

Hole 9- Walk to the sidewalk and go east. Plays between the cedars to hole 2 red.

Hole 10- Picnic table to hole 1.
