Does the Mac Attack move to 2 courses now? Or maybe there are 2 events in Mac?

Crazy a town that size is going to have 27 disc golf baskets! That is probably 3 baskets for each person that plays from McPherson. :D

I'd be in if I didn't have to work. Might go check it out on Tuesday morning.

My biggest concern is other park user safety. First and foremost people must wait or someone is going to get domed! It isn't going to be a seasoned golfer either. It is going to be someone who picks up a disc and gives it a shot. Second golfer safety, many of the tees are close to the previous basket! Be patient and let the group ahead of you clear the tee before you throw. If you go into the water BE CAREFUL! There is rusty metal sticking up all over the place, who knows what is under the water.

Who is the target audience for this course? There are many holes that are far to tough for the average Joe. There are some holes that will be instant classics for tourney holes.

Holes 1 and 2 are the same shot with the same wind, with the same green. I know DB plans on shortening the 1st hole. We nearly go hit by the group behind while teeing on Hole 2. Tom V hit someone while he was playing hole 1. That is two instances on the first night of play.

Hole 3, once again you are throwing over the people on Hole 4's head, and the hole may be to long for the average golfer. Is there any chance of heading over the creek and going South into that field? Maybe putting the basket close to the water? You could get rid of hole 2 and this could become the new hole 2. Hole 3 could then play from the open field to where 3 is currently located. That would make the Tee on current hole 4 much safer.

Hole 4 should probably be shorter. Right now the only shot is directly at the next tee or over the parking lot and OB. Someone will tag the houses for sure.

Hole 5 really looks cool from the tee. There was some talk last night about moving it behind the that clump of trees, turning it into an up and over type of shot.

Hole 6 nothing to really do.

Hole 7 I would have the tee at least as far north as the previous basket.

Hole 8 Is what it is.

Hole 9 no real change needed.

Hole 10 we played last night might be an epic tourney hole, but shouldn't be the real hole. People are going to be throwing tons of plastic into the water, hitting cars in the parking lot, smashing people on the sidewalk.

Hole 11 is a cool looking hole. There are going to be some cars nailed here also.

Hole 12 tee needs to move. That house is way to nice and the yard is way to manicured to have a bunch of disc throwing idiots in their yard. We had one from our group hit the fence and stay out.

Holes 13-16 Are all about the same. The two uphill holes are about 30 feet different, with the exact same wind and grade. The two downhill holes might be 50 feet different but play with the exact same wind and grade. I don't know if you can play these in a different order to change it up at all. Maybe Zig Zag them somehow.

Hole 17 is a cool hole. You get a wind out of the east and a righty hyzer is going to be smacking some houses.

Hole 18 I don't really know if it needs to be a mando. As short as it is, people throwing crazy shorts may take bigger scores than those going up the gut.

Maybe 17 and 18 could be thrown into the mixer?

I would also like to see a hole with the water on the left..that could gulp up an errant right handed hyzer.

The baskets are the sweetest I have played on in a long time if not ever. I have never played a round and watched so many putts stick on what could/should have been misses. These babies have some serious chain on them.

Finally got to go check this sucker out. Walked the whole thing and played 6 1/2 holes (I decided to call it quits when my drive on 7 ended up in right field). No tee markers so I had to judge by about where I thought they were on the map (which I conveniently forgot to bring with me). Judging by the stares I got from a few of the walking pedestrians out on a windy weekday (I wonder what kind of walking traffic that park gets on a pleasant Sunday), I can sense that the parks dept. is going to have some complaints before too long. Hopefully not an incident. Just my $.02 but I think they should seriously hold back on pouring cement before some tweaking is done.

To me, 1-4 need to be redesigned. Too much walking from the parking area to 1. 2 is basically a repeat where the only 'over land' route is through a narrow corridor where a pavilion and the walking path happen to be. 3 is an awesome hole sans the landing zone being near where two walking paths intersect. 4 is well....yikes. With wind like today's, a lot of shots on 7-8 are going to be landing on the ballfield, (which I've already succeeded at doing). Might want to consider a short pad on 10 near 9's basket which takes a degree of the water out of play. 12 wasn't as scary as the map makes it seem, but if there's wind out of the north, someone is going to find that guy's backyard. 13-16 need a lot of trees or perhaps the Konen Creek tall grass treatment to make them interesting. 17-18 concern me running along parking lots.

I think there are a few tee pads too close to previous hole. 10 and 11 I really enjoyed. As far as the difficulty of it I didn't find it too bad. Shot a 52 on a rather calm day Tuesday. IMO if the other McPherson people find this difficult they can take their rears over to lakeside and play the 9-hole.

I like the layout...The traffic this park gets is crazy tho...once the lake has more water in it there will be people fishing all over the park tho. Hole 10 would be crowded and hole 3 all along the bridge will have a lot of fisherman. It will be common to have 20 plus people easlily at one time walking/jogging the lake, too. I got in the water to get my stiletto and found brian r. star boss so if someone could relay that to him. The water is rocky for the first 10 feet out but after that its just mud (waist high) and maybe you'll pull out an old 4 foot plastic sign like I did lol. Once this lake gets up to normal level I'm not getting back in there.
