Remember, this weekend we "fall back" on the clock, so there will be even less daylight for the next four months or so. League will tee off at 4:15 PM.

For those who would have trouble playing at that time, the club has a couple of options in the works for winter time play. One would be the substitute winter league at Carey that Zack Keasling is planning for Saturdays. The other is a glow league that I would be running and would play after the regular Wednesday league, or possibly on Thursdays, provided the weather and course conditions are acceptable.

Friendly reminders. Saturday league starts this weekend at Carey with Zack Keasling as your emcee. Sunday league in LR continues as usual. Next Wednesday is Buhler week, and you have three options.

1. Do the regular 4:15 start.
2. Do the kickoff of the Reno County Winter Glow Series at approximately 7:00.
3. Do both.

$5 for your choice of the two or $9 for the pair. LED lights for your discs will be for sale before glow.

11/20 League results. A fun day (and night) in Buhler. I personally got 45 holes in, which is going to feel like a good investment of time come tomorrow morning.

One player went to the wrong course before dark.

A good time was had by all.

After payout, I set up the lights on the baskets, and six or so of us had a pre-league 9 hole glow round for tags. Then another six showed up and did the real deal.

Next glow league will be Thursday, December 5 at Carey at 6:00 PM. We had a discussion about moving the 7:00 scheduled glow rounds, see the thread for those dates, up to 6:00 (or whenever we're finished) considering that we're often done with league by 5:45. I am open to that suggestion. We have almost a month to mull it over.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the next scheduled winter glow event is this Thursday at Carey at 6 PM. I've been looking at the weather forecast and it is looking rather iffy with some possible snow. Doesn't seem to me much stated in terms of accumulation, but I'll continue to monitor that.

If I can get at least a handful of folks at Wednesday league tomorrow, who can give me a pretty sure verbal commitment that they want to play, I will proceed as planned. If its a super small group, we may just light up the back nine and play it twice. If hardly anyone, I may consider rescheduling for the following Thursday.

Ehh, the wintry ugliness hasn't been ugly enough, so I'm gonna head down to Carey to throw a couple of rounds. I will be waiting at the parking lot at 6:00 with all of the gear (LED lights, glow bracelets, tape, handwarmers) in tow. If somebody shows, we'll do something. If not, I'll head home. Just wanted to pass along that we are doing winter glow tomorrow night at Carey at 6 PM. High temp of 46 forecast for tomorrow. That'll feel like a heat wave (for a few holes anyway). Bring a hot beverage, or an adult beverage, or a hot adult beverage for the other holes and play some night golf. Unless we have a good showing, I may light up the back nine only and we'll play it twice as we were having some discs and other objects go astray into the tall stuff on the front nine today. That'll get us done faster.

Just wanted to point out that we are doing a double league round this Wednesday in Buhler. Standard afternoon round at 4:15. Glow league will follow when that is completed. Roughly around 6-6:15 or so. Be there by 6 if you can only do the latter. Play both leagues and glow league is only $4. I will likely be wiring up the baskets during the second pass of afternoon league to entice folks to stay around. LED lights will be for sale.

Holes 5-7 in Buhler are 211', 204' and 221' respectively. Come to Wheatland Park tomorrow and get yourself two (or four) cracks at them, and the league ace pot to win a little Christmas cash. Its way more fun than shopping.
