new improved Beast

Post by MOthrows »

Just wondering if any of you guys have tried out the 2x Beast. I got one for a best man gift last weekend and gave it a try last night. It's quite a bit domier then the old beast and really glided for me well. I could throw it about 30-40 feet past my old Beast. Looking forward to trying out the wraith but, I don't think I have enough arm for it.

I had not heard there was a new beast. I used to throw a beast, but don't anymore. Mainly because I had other plastic. I can take about any disc and throw it about 360' to 370' (Flash, TeeBird, Talon, broke in Pred, Orc, Etc.). It does not matter what. Wish I could throw farther, but I just can't. If I throw a Sidewinder just right, I get over 400', and last year at the Friz, I threw a 149 dx teebird 422' for a personal best.

Sean B. could rip those Barry Beasts! Just a little hyzer, and watch um fly. He also used them as a hammer. Course that was last year. Who knows what he throws now. Sean, if you read this, say hey to "Doug the Pug" for me! 8)

PS, in-service day at school, so I am goofing around. Can't wait till 3:30!!!!!!!

The beast is an all-around great disc. It will turn right or left or go straight for me. It might not be the longest disc, but if it is 98% as long with 200% the control, it's got to be in the bag.

I throw pretty much the same distance as you dm4 and this beast really does seem to glide a little farther for me. You can tell it's the new beast if it says 2 time disc golf world champion on it and the name and weight are written on the inside rim. I'm not getting too excited about it yet though, because a new disc always seems to throw great for the first couple of rds for me.

Oh yea, I'm playing hooky from school because my wife had our baby boy (Gunner David) last week so I get to play on the computer while he's sleeping.

I will have to give it a try! To me though, it's not the disc, it's the golfer! Some people can just throw farther. And a lot of them are much better than I am. I have also been beaten by guys that cannot out-drive me!

Congrats on the kid!
