Yup, everywhere I've read they've been talking smack about it non-stop. I think if it actually flies, we could start seeing '80+ turbo putts


Or maybe not.

I've seen the picture, but not one in person. I mean I pick up some wierd discs just to play around with, but I'm not going near that one. Mark Martin turbo putts doesn't he??? Maybe he'll get his own signature series disc...................

I checked one out at DGLO, it feels live CRAP!

The JuJu is a great flier though, I keep a clear supreme one in my bag for catch.

Nope. It's way too floppy, I did try the stiff fusion plastic JuJu when I was just starting to play, but it didn't work for me. I putt too aggressively, and hyzer-flipping a putt isn't exactly an accurate putting style for me. Maybe it's the thumb grooves, but I would have to aim too far left with it.

If you have a gentle lob putt, it's nice. The JuJu doesn't know the meaning of fade. But is still a stable flier, so it goes where you throw it, at any angle, at any speed. That's why it's great for catch, and...a Sky-styler won't fit in the bag.

I looked at this thing on Marshall Street today and

I got mine in the mail yesterday. It is a funky clunky disc like thing. I did have fun throwing it around in the backyard. It works pretty well for a little two finger flicky.

The PDGA release today stated that the turbo putter will no longer be PDGA approved after Dec. 31, 2008.

Was the basis for this the lack of radial symmetry (specifically the spiral on the bottom), or for the projections around the outer rim?

I was just wondering, because if it was the radial symmetry, will discs like the JuJu putter, or Velocity come under review?

From what I was told, it is the protrusions. The ones that look like little chain grabbers...............

I actually came in on the tail end of this decision.In a nutshell do discs need to be round?I think so.A lot of people came up with examples of where this could go and it looked sort of strange!Tech standards have been changed to reflect this.Furthermore most of the standards were set some years ago and presently are being reviewed by manufacturers and all those with vested interests.Personally I am pushing for an allowable reduction in size .Make it so 150 is the max weight for the smallest diameter!Keep the ratio of weight to diameter.Wouldn`t it be great if gals youths and anybody that normally throws 150 class didn`t have to pay the weight penalty!A fit for smaller hands!what do you think? what direction should the evolution of the disc take?

Interesting thought Ron. Would a smaller disc make putting easier? I guess if it had to be lighter, the answer would be no.

Take it the other way. Should we allow a double size 400g Jaguar? If you have what it takes to huck it, I bet it would roll forever.
