I got a pair of the Distance lows a week and a half ago, they are pretty much broken in now, so time for a review for them.

Buyer beware. Unless you have flat, boat-like feet, I would most definitely advise you not to buy these. Not only are they lacking arch support, they have no curves whatsoever to them. I noticed this especially in the heel of the lows, they are pretty much flat in this area, which led to quarter size blisters.

After playing a three round day, my feet were numb. I have steel toes more comfortable than these.

They look like zebra's once on your feet.(I had to dye mine after I looked down. )

All the sizes run 1/2-1 size larger, and they do not comment about this on the website.($20 return shipping fees!)

Really not into the shoes, but this review is pretty harsh, so I will point out some pro's.

The mesh is very breathable. But then again, if it's cold & wet outside, your feet will be sopping and frozen within minutes.

The outsole is very grippy, but very soft.(durabilty)

If you have wide toes, these are nice and snug.(Of course, the rest of your foot will need to be just as wide for these to fit...)

The tops of the toes are reinforced.

All in all, I think these shoes suck. I didn't want to toss them because they were a present, so I bought full gel insoles w/arch support,(I'm gellin! ) a pad that I glued to the top inside of the heel, and dyed them all black. they are halfway decent now.

Maybe the Distance highs would take care of some of these issues, but I'm not going to buy them and see.

That sucks. I heard they run large, but hadn't heard much else about them.

There is another thread somewhere around that mentions Steep and Cheap. This is an on-line deep discount site that belongs to Backcountry.com (I believe).

I've found some killer bargins on steepandcheap as well as backcountry. They have frequent deals on Salomon shoes. I got a pair of gortex trail running shoes for under $60, which is stinkin' cheap. I know that Salomon is also a disc golf supporter.

It stinks that the Bite shoes aren't what they are cracked up to be.

I've had mine since October and haven't had any problems with them. It kinda sucks they aren't waterproof, but nothing a pair of Seal Skins can't solve

i've been wearing merrells for years and they are the best performance shoes i've worn. they have lots of styles for winter and summer and most are waterproof. they are a tad pricey but well worth the money in durability.

This is in reply to some comments made about Bite Shoes.

While they may not fit some people's feet, I have gotten nothing but wonderful reviews from all but 1 customer.

I have sold over 100 pairs so that makes a pretty good satisfaction rate. They do run 1/2 size large, but again, I have had only one customer complain about the size.

As far as the color of the shoes, I will tend to agree that there are better colors, but they get shipped the same color that is in all the pictures, so it's not like it's a surprise.

The hi-tops are fully waterproof, while the lo tops are made for more of a summer shoe and so they are breathable. I currently have the hi tops and have walked in pretty large puddles (without sealskins) and my feet have not got wet. On top of that, I have several buddies who have the lo tops and they said that they've been through puddles as well and not gotten feet wet.

The return policy is this...
If the shoe is defected or not as described, the shoe will be returned and fully refunded. If there is nothing wrong with the shoe, and the customer would simply like to trade for a different size and/or different model (hi tops for the lo tops) they will have to pay for the shipping ($8.10 for priority shipping each way) and the difference in the shoes (if applicable). There is no restocking fee. Since I have these shoes drop shipped from a wholesaler, I don't make the return policy for this item.

The conclusion that I can come to on this is that 99% of the people that bought the shoes from me were thoroughly impressed with the comfort and quality of the shoe (including myself). While they may cost more than Wal-Mart boots, I think it is worth the cost and will stand behind this product.

I received my Bite distance high's today. I ordered a half size smaller than most shoes I wear. It was very close to a mistake. After a few hours of wearing them, I have made up my mind that I picked the right size. I guess it all depends on what brand you normally buy.

They feel great, walking at least. They will see the coarse tomorrow!

Well Samson ,tell us a story .What`s your take on the shoes?

Well, I wore them a few evenings after I bought them and they were a little stiff, but fairly comfortable. The golf coarse here flooded this weekend, so the first time I wore them to throw was Sunday at the tourney in Ashland. They could of used some more breaking in before that. They were breathable, seemed to have sufficient arch support, and had excellent ankle support. They also have great traction but allow easy spin.

I like the shoes, but after the 36 holes I wish I would of bought the size I usually wear. Altough, they did not leave any blisters, so maybe once I get them broke in they will be fine. Anyway, anyone that is thinking about buying a pair of Bite Shoes might want to try on Skechers, the sizes seem to be the same.

Well, after the rock, I would say the shoes are broke in and I really like them.

I got a pair of Bites a couple of weeks ago, and so far so good..I love them!

'Most' seem to be happy with their purchase, I've found.

My right shoe started ripping out on the arch. I contacted Bite, and they said they would replace my shoes if they are less then a year old.

Let us know how this goes(specifics) mine have ripped on both in the same place.

If you want to call it that, I say it's where the arch should be, but hmm, yup, no arch in the shoe itself. Maybe that's why they tore so easily? I haven't worn these pos's for more than a few weeks.
