As a fairly neutral party, I will say in my opinion the ESP plastic is a lot better than the Star plastic. When I was throwing both the ESP lasted longer had a more comfortable grip, and seemed to just be a little more quality than the Star.
end of neutral opinion
Now having said that I think the H-E mix stuff Gateway has been putting out for years now is just as good as both and maybe better when you look at the cost.

I'm gonna get one of these. I need something that will fly far into a headwind. More stable than Surge, less than Firebird.

I'm definitely digging my ESP Surge's glide!! Aren't Preds, Avengers and Surges (and Pulses??) from the same driver family? Did I miss any?? Wildcat???

I just bought 2 of them on ebay!!! Cant wait to get them.... They are 170's but thats ok .. about 16.50 a piece with ship
