I've gotta ask, I see a bunch of discs that are "first run", is that just the first line under that name or what?

The first time a disc is made of a particular plastic, or a particular mold, or both, it is a "first run".

Yup, but the "first run" is the first batch of actual production run of the disc or a certain plastic for the disc, the first time made would be "Prototype".
