I didn't see much difference either. My orange pulse is a touch more overstable but, not enough to really matter.

I think it does fly a lot like a surge but I like it for sidearm a lot better. Seems to control easier, maybe the little groove has something to dow ith that.

This disc is a great 2 finger disc...IMO

I flies like a more stable Surge...meaning it bombs, but hyzer's off at the end of it's flight.

The Pulse is way, way more overstable than the Surge. Not really comparable, IMO. The pulse is a great flick disc though, because it is fast and straight with a really hard hyzer finish.

I've been throwing my 169 quite a bit lately. I can only assume a max weight is like a very very fast predator.

Anyways - This disc is awesome.

This is a great disc!

This is the stability I was hoping for when the Surge came out, This thing's a bullet with a loooong slow fade.

Sweetness.

Old topic but wanted to post anyhow...

Picked one of these up from the Fronter Open and just had a chance to really get out and throw it this weekend.

Verdict is.. LOVE IT!

I haven't had a chance to throw any surges yet (yea yea yea), but this thing bombed for me with what seemed to be little effort...definitely felt better flicking it but was still getting damn good distance with a backhand drive.

Ive been reading that color affects the flight pattern? Is their any consensus on where colors fall?

Just as a reference, right now Im throwing a Black First Run Surge (174) as my backhand driver, and all my sidearms have been with White X Avengers (171), but Im pretty sure Im gonna pick up some ESP or Z Avengers soon cause the X's get flippy too fast.

The general consensus is that different colors have slightly different flight characteristics, although I don't know if it has been proven.

Usually when I find a color that throw's good I'll get a few of them. The lime green surges are money, and Yellow throws just as good as I thought it would.

Any idea how Green/Yellow Fly in comparison to the black? I find the black a bit flippy.

I haven't thrown black- BUT

Yellow is my idea of how a stable surge should fly. It has been holding fast throws quite will with a lot of come back. It's flying like a pulse but with the fade of a surge.

Green, for me, has the perfect amount of high speed turn. It will go out a long ways, turn right, glide, then fade in at the end of its flight.
