Farthest Innova Pro Disc

Post by Schoen-hopper »

I admit I haven't thrown much other plastic since champion and Z discs went into production. I think these other discs get just as much distance, but I like the consistant releases with the hard plastic's grip. I bought a few of these discs some time back and might want to give them a shot.

Pro Starfire
Pro Valkyrie
Pro Beast
Pro Orc
Pro Leopard
Pro Teebird
Pro Wraith
Pro TL

I noticed that these discs fly pretty similarly, except the new wraith and the TL. I need to pick up a Wraith and a Teebird to be able to throw them all. I'm thinking I'll give them a few flights on 13 at Herman Hill and see which one averages the most distance. Any predictions as to the longest flier?

It would be cool to see some test data for both distance and accuracy amonst different discs. Getting lots of different people to participate in the test flights would give the comparison more credibility. Figuring a way to test them myself sounds good too.

What do you do to test how well you like a new disc? I think that many times the methods we use to determine what goes in the bag may not be that scientific.... I know I just throw in a little of everything! :D

We can do the Craft vs. Innova in another comparison. I just noticed that unlike other types of plastic, the Innova Pro plastic has an unusually similar stability amongst 6 of the 8 different models. Which throws the farthest?

I have seen the Starfire out drive the Leopard, TeeBird and TL. Orc, Beast, Beast, Valk are a toss up. Depends on the wind! Wraith? I don't know. Even though I have tossed around these discs or seen them in action, I don't have any "Pro" plastic in my bag. Beats up very fast!

I would either say the pro orc or starfish. I haven't really had a good cross
tail wind yet with my farflyer. But there was a day me and Ben was on hole 6 long Herman, it was when the pro orc just came out, good cross tailwind
15-20mph. I threw my orc with high hyzer kinda out over the river and it flip caught the wind and rode it out for about 525' my longest bomb ever.
So I told Ben to try it with a little more height than mine,so he did and
OMG it went from 6 long, hyzered out over the river, flipped, caught the wind, came back across the fairway, lifted up over the tree line to the right of the fairway, held for a little longer, straightend out and if I remember right ,went O.B. past 7longs tee pad by about thirty.

Can Mikey say 600'+

wraith no doubt...

It has replaced the starfire as the only innova flyer in my bag.

I predict the wraith will be consistently 10-15 feet past all of the rest, It will be like throwing cyclones against xl's the tech is just better.
