I keep forgetting to try the AVENGER! I won one at the KC Wide. Now I don't really want a "new" disc in my bag at tourney time. Maybe next week.

I don't know if I will be able to make McPherson or not. What do you throw? If we can work out a trade, I will just send it to you. I assume the disc is still in good shape... :D

I keep forgetting this forum is statewide, so this is actually for those of you in Wichita ;)

I finally got mine in the mail, odd feel to it, the lip is really wide, the disc looked a bit smaller and flatter then any I have thrown before, but, I was able to get it about 250-275, but my technique is hurting and needs someone to watch me throw and help me correct it, 250-275 is a good throw for me, it left my hand extremely fast and flew completely flat for most of flight. If I run into anyone at Herman Hill this evening they are more then welcome to give it a whirl.

Oh, I am a chubby tattoo'd up guy.

the disc is in great shape.. it just doesn't work for me. It doesn't have my initials on it yet.

I throw crush, flash, teebird, reaper.
I really want to get another reaper, that is if you have one you dont want

WRAITH

Post by KevinBabbit »

Due to a post office problem I did not get a chance to give the Wraith a full test until today. After practice for about an hour + with the Wraith and my other long range drivers, I must say I this is the most excited I have been over a disc since I got my 1st champion orc almost 2 years ago. After a series of throws, I about creamed my pants.

Here is the skinny. For me (weeny arm = can throw 360ft comfortably, 400 with near perfect throw and serious effort ), the wraith flat out bombs in any head wind 10-20mph. There was a 15mph breeze today and I was throwing it flat or with a bit of anhyzer. It gets out there faster than snot then has a nice hyzer finish. It is more stable than the orc but also it is faster. Kind of weird that you can have both. The wraith consistently landed 15-20ft further than the orc and 10 ft further than the starfire. With a headwind long range hyzer throw, the wraith usually finished 20+ft. past my other drivers! Incredible!

For me, I will not be able to get enough ass on the disc for tailwind or no wind throws. I tried and I had to throw a pretty major flex shot for it to get out there. I will simply use my starfire in those situations.

For a big arm, however, I think the wraith would be a crush machine no matter what the conditions. I would like to hear a report from a big arm. I will try to convince Eric to throw a series of shots, although I think even Eric will need a slight headwind to maximize this disc's potential.

This disc is very domy and I am having a little trouble getting used to that but I will figure that out. This disc goes immediately in the bag.

:D WRAITH = KABOOOOOOOMMMM :D

Well my report is

I LOVE THIS DISC!

I threw mine into a 5 mph headwind on 17 long at herman and landed about 50 feet or so from the pin, that was about 50ish feet farther then I have EVER thrown. I am in love. Schoen-hopper gave it a toss so he might be able to give a bit better description, but it became my new into the wind disc :)

BTW thanks to everyone at club, I had a great time and felt extremely welcome.

That Wraith was fast. I was comparing the profile to the Z Avenger. It looks more domey on top and more tapered on the bottom. Looks like this is the first of the newish Innova Pro discs with any kind of reliable over-stability. I only threw it once, but I saw 2 throw it over 400 feet on 13.

I also got a few of these and threw them the other day. They are not all that great. I thought it was a little hard to control. I thought it was pretty flippy and when I threw with a great deal of hyzer it would straighten out and go for a long ways, but not any further than my QK or DX Beast.

I am anxious to try the Champion CFR Wraiths though. Has anyone thrown one of these. Just curious before I order one
