Want to be part of the Glass Blown Open, but didn't get in. Here is your chance. Dynamic Discs will be hosting a 1 day C-tier at the Emporia Middle School. The normally short and easy course will be adjusted to give even the best pros a challenge. The tourney layout will include an elevated basket, an island green, a clowns mouth, and several OB lined fairways.
The event should play much faster then the Glass Blown Open, given everyone the opportunity to watch some of the top players in the world finish their round. Dynamic Discs also invites you to take part in all the extra things that are going to make the GBO the best tourney in the midwest. After you are finished at the middle school, head over to Jones park and try to qualify for the putting finals or the long drive championships.
Last minute sign-ups: 7:30-8:15
Player Meeting: 8:30
First Round: 9:00
Cost:
All Pro divisions $50
All Advanced divisions $40
All other divisions available at $30.
If you are not a PDGA member you will need to pay the $10 non-member fee.
$3 Ace fund is included with the entry fee.
All participants will receive a 2010 Glass Blown Open dri-fit shirt. Also included in the fees, entry to and food at the "Insane Players Party" on Saturday night.
Dynamic Discs will also have Merchandise Voucher opportunities for people who want to help spot and do other tourney jobs on Sunday.

Re: GBOverflow
Rusco has the design finished up. He really thinks 50 will be a really good score.
Re: GBOverflow
Yep, this course could play really tough in windy conditions! I have played it twice now. First round I shot a 52 and the second at 56 Clay Houser shot a 61 and a 58! It is not easy but with less than average winds I would expect to see scores similar to those at Peter Pan. I think this course will be used next year for the GBO or one very similar to it. Lots of OB! Island greens! Triple mando/clowns mouth! I think everyone who plays this course will really enjoy it and be surprised just how tough it can be.

When you get handed lemons, make lemonade baby...
It's a shame more folks haven't signed up for this tournament.
I was looking forward to a Disc Golf "Woodstock" in Emporia.

Re: GBOverflow
Is the overflow tourny an KDGA event? If I earn points, I'm coming. If not, I'm going to Tulsa instead.

Good luck in Tulsa.
You are going to miss a great time at a great event. Pretty sure no event is going to top this weekend.
Re: GBOverflow
thanks, I am going to missing playing with all my KDGA golfers. I am pissed at myself for missing the GBO. I know all the events are going to be AWESOME.
