Volunteers, anyone?

Post by _dm4 »

One of the guys from Lakeview Camp, near Stockton, contacted me and is looking for someone to come do a clinic at the camp on June 9th or 10th. I am not going to be able to do this (summer band stuff), but was wondering if someone else would like to do it.

This would be showing some kids different grips and throws. Also, explaining the rules. Then maybe playing some holes. He said a morning or an afternoon.

Just so you know, this is the course I designed and helped install, but now it is all messed up. Last year, the new camp director took out the tee signs to mow and couldn't remember where they went. Then, he got some signs made and cemented them in the wrong places! Some of the "holes" are only 50 or 60 feet, with no trees! I was there last summer and told him I would help him re-do the signs, but he really doesn't seem interested in that.

There are nine baskets, so it would be easy to make something up.

Also, the Camp only has mid-range discs and putters. When I designed the course, I thought this would be best, since there are always kids walking around all over the place. Mid-ranged discs don't hurt nearly as much as drivers.

Let me know if anyone can do this.
